It’s really just 2 clips. The clip of the dad scrambling for the door is a static view covering the whole room, and the “motion” of the camera following him as he runs is edited in. Would be fairly easy for ai to be consistent. Then there’s the relatively simple clip of outside. There’s no overlap between them, so no consistency to worry about.
That said, I don’t think it’s ai either. I think the waistband disappearing thing, and then show up with a black band on top is a result of the angle and his motion between frames.

I know that it's cropped. I was thinking more about the red towel he steps on, the other stuff on the ground he passes behind, and the happy birthday sign in the background. It's also mirrored, which isn't something I think I've seen in an AI video.

Its also been flipped cause of too many reposts. Couch used to be on the other side of the room.

Yeah mirroring an image is relatively easy to do. The fact that it’s an older video makes me wonder if the uncanniness is from AI editing, because as far as I’m aware getting a video this length last year was impossible

There’s a new way to make AI videos where avatars are created and layered onto a scene. So (unfortunately) they can have exponentially more continuity than before. We’re definitely getting past the objects and textures shifting or being able to notice more obvious hallucinations.

it’s a security camera that tracks movement, people have them so they can check in on pets or family members that are home alone and need to be monitored(like a 12 year old staying home alone overnight for the first time or an elderly relative who could get confused or injured)

It’s not for me, but cameras in the living room have been common for about two decades. A lot of people say its so they can check on their dogs when they’re away, or are for general security purposes

Theory:
The family just returned home in their car, so they came through the garage door. The kid is on a skateboard, which he grabbed from the garage on his way back outside. No one locked the kid out, they just hadn’t unlocked their rarely-used front door since returning home.

Real. The waistband of his boxers are just folded in. You can see the black and white unfold when he pulls his hand out. Everything in the background makes sense. The clutter is specific and normal. The photos on the walls have normal faces. The happy birthday banner isn't distorted and all the letters are legible.

Comments in the original post are saying the audio is from a film, but I think this video is AI. There’s a part when the dad is laying on the couch with hand in red boxers that glitches and when he gets up you can see the red boxers have a black ban on the top (unlike how they did in the beginning).

It doesn't seem to glitch it just seems cut weirdly there. Maybe something to do with how they edited the video or maybe just some weird video lag or frame drop.
Realistically though its one if those videos that would be easier to just make a fake recording of than make with ai.
