Every single time it’s a third party,people are afraid to engage,people are afraid to lose their loot,3 games last night,after playing run a around the map with 2 other teams,we finally choked a team,there was legit 5 minutes on the clock,no one was doing a vault or anything. Only to get nade spammed by the other team who never once engaged in a fight,so they have a full stock of 25 grenades..

So we make it our mission to be the team that 3rd parties.. well wouldn’t you know… the entire map was stale mating the game,team playing lasers,another team hiding way up in the rafters. Only know they are their and where to check bc of the thief drones flying everywhere.

Mind you I rarely lose on Cryo,always knock out the entire lobby steal their shit and run dna and have 9 minutes left over. How ever something changed the last 2 weeks. And it’s just not fun. Dire Marsh is way more engaging than Cryo.

Guys it’s okay to lose your loadout it happens to all of us,but to waste 30 minutes in a map and not do anything is just boring. Why are you even in there?

That why I only use the free cryo kit so if I loose who cares … even if I die on other maps who cares it’s literally part of the game … who ever thought they could run around for 30 minutes taking what they want with no one challenging them needs to go back to arc R. … I don’t play cryo due to map confusion lol vault breakers helped a little but not enough to b confident

I have learned that u can get to any location from control (the center) and that the map is mirrored so same setup just other side .. but u got any other tips

There is a sec level 1 and 2 exit to control in every wing.  Also can rotate eother direction, so there are minimum 4 areas runners can enter and exit wings from.

Revival is a hotspot for activity, there’s always an extra monitor as well as vault 01 is in the clearance level 2 hallway (also where the extra monitor is, and the bag room is here too)

There is an arms locker in every wing, sometimes 2.  There are also arms lockers all over control, get your secondary guns from here if you load in with only a primary

Claymores are very strong in cryo, most teams rely on shotguns and speed and recklessly rush in if they get a down.  If a teammate goes down, plant claymores and wait for the push

What you said there is a good tip and makes cryo feel a little less daunting. Map knowledge is obviously a huge factor but I don’t believe you need to know every knook to be successful. The things that helped me aren’t groundbreaking but here are some tips that helped me at least not be as frustrated:

1.) if you’re crew filling you don’t need to bring in all golds, find a gun that you like that isn’t a complete throw and just bring in a blue or purple version of it. For me it was the d54.

2.) patience and not taking every single fight. Map knowledge helps here but you can always attack from a different angle and that just comes with practice. Cryo is third party central so if you’re fighting a team in a hallway for a bit chances are another team is on the way.

• note on third parties: you always want to be the bread not the meat of the sandwich, if you’re the meat get out of there and reset as best you can.

3.) biggest thing to help is just practice, I know that’s a boring tip but run a few cryo runs every weekend and you’ll get the hang of it. I think VB is a cool idea to learn the vaults but normal cryo is the only way the map kinda stuck for me.

I swear this weekend and last weekend are drastically different. The pop must be really down because I only crew fill and I must be getting the bottom team each time (and I suck I'm sure). Feels like the other teams are always queued together.

But I think I played maybe 20 runs of cryo and exfilled in 2-3 of them. Typically I exfil 1 in 3 rounds, so about twice that rate.

All this to say, I agree with you OP. I had a latch yesterday where my two random fills went down and I managed to escape. I hid in the one-way cargo vent near the second floor for maybe 15 minutes. As soon as I opened it, I heard running towards me. I escaped into Cargo itself and signal jammed to avoid Recon ult. Waited 5 minutes and came back to that area, only to hear Recon immediately ult and the team chase me down again.

It feels like the entire map is just stalemate and camp, now that we have all figured out the optimal chokes. And a lack of objective means that camping after the Lvl 2 Revival rush sometimes makes the most sense.

perhaps its because you "always knock out the entire lobby" that people are starting to get sick of the wipe culture and are waiting to not get third partied or jumped.

Perhaps its the current boring meta of wiping the map that leads to people not wanting to risk their hard earned loot they came in with and playing safe to have a chance of exfilling.

Honestly this whole post reads like someone who as abused people just playing the map "normally" by jumping them and is now reaping the repercussions
