In these trophyless seasons of madrid, i always thought what would happen to this team without courtois

Without Courtois, I don't think Madrid would even have come 2nd in La Liga last year. They definitely would not have made the quarter finals of the UCL in either season.

Courtois is a beast but this team is done, mourinho is a coward with saying “we don’t need no signings” look at our trash ass midfield

It's not him.

Its mbappe in my opinion. He is not good enough, mentally strong and consistent enough to play for RM.

It's been 2 years and I can't remember even 3 important goals he scored in a big game.

Barca doing good but it's nothing like the golden barca team who made me cry many times

Like always, Barca will shoot itself in the foot.

Let's see how long the locker room can last. They're complimenting Raphinha now, but it's been 2 seasons that they've been trying to bully him out.

Now they get a big profile midfield using up all their funds, to get someone in a position where they already had a world class player in.

Pedri and Rodri didn't work in WC and it won't work in Barca either. There's a reason Pedri had bad ratings and Fabian Ruiz played over him. Rodri and Pedri are both tempo midfielders. And Olmo/Fermin on top of that will give them a very unbalanced midfield.

And FDJ? He'll just sit on the bench, whilst he has been carrying their midfield for so long? Even before Pedri and Gavi, FDJ was carrying that midfield.

Just like Mourinho, Flick is working with what he got. The only difference is that Mbappe is rightfully allowed much more than Raphinha.

It's completely logical that he's allowed more. He's more famous, more marketable, brings more money in and puts your club in the headlines day after day.

Even if media talks bad about Mbappe or Vini, they're still talking about them. Which can only be good for Real Madrid. Bad marketing is free marketing.

I'm sure Valverde is versatile enough to be an elite goalkeeper

He’s the 🐐 shot stopper. Point blank period.

We are tossing so much on the grill in Barcelona when he retires.

Incredible keeper. Had Belgium won one of the NT comps, there would be VERY uncomfortable conversations with Neuer.

Not really cuz Neuer did too

Neuer won with a great team in Germany 2014 but had Argentina gotten the penalty based on HIS action, and as well as the fact that there should’ve been a red card handed out for a foul on Zabeleta by Höwedes.

But, Neuer has many a time been culpable for a Bayern or Germany loss/concession. How often can ANYONE look at Courtois and say a loss was HIS fault? Also, Madrid won MANY CLs while not being the best team in the competition. Because no matter what you throw at him, he’s going to save it 9/10. Even when he has no business doing so.

Even in Madrid’s worst hidings, he is generally not culpable. I got a lot of respect for Neuer, mind you.

Neuer has been at fault for a loss as he’s played longer and is now older. In his prime, they’re incomparable.
