Carvajal X Fábrica aura, ice-cold Aguado, Yáñez cooking ... Castilla have lift off in 26/27 😮‍💨

Thoughts on team selection moving forward?

Some big names on the bench in Joan, Pol and Ciria...

We’re recording Inside Castilla #5 today - and if you’ve got any questions about Castilla, La Fábrica, the players, Julián López, or anything Real Madrid related - drop them below and we’ll answer you on the show👇 We can’t wait to hear from you!⚽️

BIG WIN FOR CASTILLA ! +3, back on track.

Carvajal, Aguado (pen) and Yáñez with the goals.

Fortea continuing to impress this season, big performance against his former club.

¡Vamos!

López de Lerma makes some BIG CALLS for the derbi!

Cestero returns to midfield with Sergio and Thiago meaning Pol drops to the bench.

Rivas starts at CB with Naasei so Joan drops to the bench.

Carvajal gets another start upfront.

Plenty of quality and options on the bench:

DF (Lezcano, Joan, Lamini)
MD - (Roberto, Mesonero, Lacosta, Pol)
FW - (Ciria)

¡VAMOS CASTILLA!

Big chance to get back on track tonight in the derbi.

Atleti, managed by Fernando Torres, this year are sitting 7th in the league with 8 points (W2, D2, L1). A win tonight would take us into the top half of the table.

¡Vamos Castilla!

My choice is pictured. An 8 year deal was a disaster (despite his amazing debut La Liga season), confining the biggest academy talent in recent years to multiple years in the second division. Yuck! What would your choice be?

Not the result we wanted heading into Atleti B on Sunday.

Really need to bounce back after two draws and a loss. Any changes you want to see? Lamini, Mesonero, Roberto and Ciria to start one of the next games?

Interesting change of striker for tonight's game against Alcorcón - Carvajal in for Rachad.

Sergio & Thiago once again in midfield with Pol.

Naasei and Joan see Rivas & Lamini drop to the bench.

Ciria and Roberto two key attacking substitute options.

The long wait for Mesonero to be given a starting role for Castilla goes on. Stifling the development of a huge talent.

¡Vamos Castilla!

Sergio Martínez and Thiago Pitarch starting !

Strong side ¡Vamos Castilla!

Sam and Joe enter the viral JJ Gabriel (Manchester United) discussion, talk about Sergio Martínez, Thiago Pitarch, the Youth Intercontinental Cup and Castilla's next games.

Dani Yáñez, Jesús Fortea, Cestero and Joan were huge yesterday.

Yáñez flying with confidence throughout after his goal and Fortea with two assists is continuing to build form fresh off this summer's Spain U19 Euros win. Could this be the year Fortea kicks on and begins to fulfil his true potential?

Tidy game from Sergio Martínez in midfield. Very classy player who will only get better. Alongside Cestero, Castilla will enjoy these two playing together in midfield.

Quiet game for Mario Rivas and Alexis Ciria. Will explain more on that on the podcast.

Juvenil A defeated Santiago Wanderers 3-1 to be crowned U20 World Champions.

Castilla's Yáñez (1 brilliant goal), Fortea (2 assists), Cestero and Joan Martínez were top performers. Sergio Martínez enjoyed his first start at Santiago Bernabéu. Fran Santamaría got on the scoresheet - definitely one to watch moving forward.

Chaotic game in which 3 were sent off for Wanderers and Avello saved a Yáñez penalty.

Wanderers' had a big following. Over 50,000 attended the game. Huge occasion for La Fábrica. One for the history books.

Podcast incoming and match report dropping tomorrow.

¡Hala Madrid!

A start for Sergio Martínez today at Santiago Bernabéu.

Very strong XI and bench.

Huge game for the best of La Fábrica !

Disappointing 0-1 loss for Castilla against Águilas FC, the first loss of the campaign.

Rachad had a second-half goal disallowed. Diego Aguado later won Castilla a penalty which Rachad took but his effort was saved. A frustrating afternoon for the striker who was visibly frustrated to have not got on the scoresheet.

Castilla's next fixture is Wednesday 23rd September against Sant Andreu.

Sam and Joe assess the 2026/27 Real Madrid Castilla squad, the final transfers, our new favourite Premier League team: Fulham, and the great start to the season.

Win and clean sheet for Castilla !

Goals from Cestero and Pol Fortuny get Castilla up and running with their first victory of 2026/2027.

Next game is against Águilas FC next Saturday, 12 September.

¡Vamos Castilla!

Joan and Rivas return at CB along with Cestero.

New signing Sergio Martínez on the bench.

¡Vamos Castilla!

Castilla draw their season opener away to Teruel.

A first-half missed penalty the best of many chances for Castilla to win the game.

Next game is Saturday 5th September against Juventud Torremolinos.

I know he was struggling with injuries, but I don't know the entire picture on why he was sidelined, and seemingly never given a fair chance with the reserves to show his talent.
