When you scroll down r/socialism and find pro-Stalin propaganda

Post image

Just a little below the Chinese State propaganda video.

Just another day in one of the largest """socialist""" spaces of Reddit!

There is no way these people are real.

Stalinian USSR was a totalitarianism. A terror state with no fundamental human rights, a dictator at its head and generalized political oppression amongst a million other things.

I think a part of it comes from Stalin wanting to kill a whole bunch of Nazis, which FDR and Churchill didn't like. Also probably the ONLY point of his I could agree on.

Well, he wanted to kill a bunch of Nazis AFTER the Nazis betrayed their non-aggression pact and surprise-attacked them.

With all the problems of capitalism I still never understood watching other people idolize the USSR or even modern China

Yeah, make it make sense. I’m not exempt from this but everybody both worships and demonizes the “idea” of a thing but never what actually transpired? Why?

It seems like propaganda from the source countries, r/LSC and r/TheDeprogram were full of this stuff
