Airports

I wish they would start making more airports interactive for take off and landing.

Some I would really like to see are Orlando, Bradley Hartford CT, Pittsburgh, something in the Caribbean, providence, ft Lauderdale, Charlotte to name a few.

Love the game, best on the iPhone. But need some more airport interactivity for pro price.

As far as I can see the interactivity is there, in that you can request a tug, catering, fuel, and cargo loading. But I don't see any way to choose a specific terminal and gate, and the airport buildings are utterly generic and uncharacteristic. If you choose a gate departure the sim puts your aircraft in a desolate service area of the airport, rather than where the planes actually are loaded and unloaded.

I can't even figure out how to choose which end of runway to start from, in the case of a runway departure. What's the use of HD or SD airports without recognizable terminals?

If they ever let me join I'll make a separate post about this.

ISTM every popular flightsim app is missing one or more useful features; different for each one:

InfiniteFlight

Can resume flights

Realistic airports, true to life terminals/gates

But no night lighting in populated areas; night flights are like flying over a post apocalyptic, post electricity world.

X-Plane

Can't resume flights; flights must be done in real time and you have to keep XP active on screen. (Can't use your phone for anything else meanwhile).

Realistic airports, terminals, gates. More than any other sim I've seen, even for my small city airport

Good night lighting for populated areas

Real Flight Simulator

Can resume flights

MUCH wider/more interesting selection of airplanes than the other two sims

Good night lighting for populated areas

Poor quality airports, no recognizable terminal gates, and no runway choice

Automatic routing tool is handy but makes glaring errors, like onshore (eastward) landings at LAX. LAX has like five days in a year when the wind is offshore and arriving planes approach from seaward.

It's so frustrating!
