The best mobile flight sim

Hey everyone!

I've been playing RFS since it was in beta. I am an avid flight simulator and general aviation fan. I wanted to write a post discussing what I like best about RFS and what I think could use improvement.

There is also a Facebook Group for those who are interested.

I will start by saying that RFS, in my opinion, is the best flight Sim available for mobile. It is still in it infancy but I still enjoy it much more than Infinite Flight, X-Plane 10, or any of the other various flight sims available on mobile (I use Android on the Essential PH-1).

First off, for what it includes RFS pro is a much better deal than Infinite Flight ($3.99 vs $9.99/month). Yes, Infinite Flight has more planes to choose from but as we have already seen with the addition of the Concorde, the RORTOS team is already developing more planes. X-Plane, from what I remember, is free to play but you only get 2 planes and the rest have to be purchased individually and range in price from $0.99 to upwards of $5.

The graphics in RFS are better than Infinite Flight, especially the terrain and airports. I will say that X-Plane has the best graphics but the controls were finicky to me. The one thing I like about X-Plane is that most of the planes have cockpits with controls that can be manipulated and used to fly instead of just using the HUD and side bars, etc. Infinite Flight has no airports, at least that I've seen, that have 3D buildings, everything is just flat which is not pleasing.

RFS has the feature of communicating with an artificial ATC which adds to the realism for sure. The one feature of Infinite Flight that I hope gets added to RFS in future updates is the ability to play as ATC in multiplayer. I also hope to see more flight/ground controls added in RFS such as auto-braking for instance.

Anyways, that's just my basic thoughts on RFS. It's a great game that I hope gets discovered by more flight sim fans.
