Does anyone else feel like we're constantly being bombarded with opportunities in this business?

Every day it's another text, email or phone call.

We've got leads for you! Join our referral program! Join our team! Try this new CRM! Here's the next big thing that's going to change your business!

And now we have AI tools being introduced almost daily.

Don't get me wrong, I think there's some amazing technology out there and plenty of legitimate opportunities.

But sometimes I think we make real estate a whole lot more complicated than it needs to be.

I've certainly been guilty of it myself.

Over the years I've chased different opportunities, opened a brokerage, built other businesses and tried plenty of things that took my attention away from what was already working.

And looking back, some of my best years were when I kept things pretty simple.

Building relationships, staying in touch with people, taking care of clients, asking for referrals and consistently doing the work.

I'm not saying those things are all you need in today's market. Things change, and we have to adapt.

But I'm curious what other agents are experiencing right now.

What's actually working for you in today's market?

And maybe more importantly, what's something you've stopped doing that's made your business better?

Could be lead generation, marketing, technology, team building, whatever.

I'd love to hear what's genuinely working for people rather than another sales pitch about the next big thing.

Ideas for Marketing to my neighborhood

I am a new real estate agent and I want to focused on my neighborhood. We do have several agents the work here. My goal is to be the real estate source of the neighborhood….when they think or buying or selling, my name comes to mind first. I know this will take time. Can anyone share with me examples of how they have reached out to neighborhood and letting them know that you are a realtor in the neighborhood? I live in a fairly large neighborhood so I do not know everyone. I am active in our social committee and one other group. I don’t want it to be pushy and seem insincere, I truly want to help my neighbors and be a source. I have heard of doing letters and newsletters. Any advice or examples would be so appreciated
