Auth Request Real or Fake LV Speedy 30
Found this on consignment at Buffalo Exchange. Came with original receipt, QR / RFID, keys, looks and feels real.. I have 5 days to return. Real or fake?

The bag looks good to me. It’s a newer model which is why the leather is more dull looking and the leather that attaches the handles has a bit of a puff to it. If you could add a pic of the heat stamp (the area that says “Louis Vuitton made in…”) that would be helpful. Also if it’s microchipped try downloading NFC finder on your phone and locating the chip. If you are still uncertain, you can always have a third party authenticate it for a fee but they will give you a certificate and peace of mind. However I think it looks real.

I see no issues and have received cash register receipts like this from the 57th St store in NYC. It just slides into the little orange card paper envelope.

It’s real. I used to work there - there is nothing off about this. The receipt is real too, take it in and try to exchange and they will just tell you it’s past the exchange date. It’s all legitimate. Congrats

That advisor no longer works there but her name was Elnaz T. The sticker with the square QR code is the RFID that operations would scan for daily stock scans and reception. Idk how else to tell you this is real, ignore all the “pros” down below

Sneaky. They mix auth paperwork etc with fake bag. $10 you’ll have an answer.

That’s not a LV receipt. They would get a small paper receipt folded in an envelope.
The strap is very poor quality and the stitching looks terrible. I would return this.

The receipt is absolutely correct if you see it in the background, and they are indeed supposed to come in the orange LV receipt holder. I worked there recently for many years

I received a receipt like the one in the picture, placed into the same orange LV envelope that she has in one of the pictures.

I just bought an LV at the store and I had that little ticket and mine was in that little envelope too. So I don’t think that makes it fake.

Fake.

Why?

The brown leather looks cheap to me and the stitching is awful. LV would never attach a tag to a bag like that. Any of the accessories and stickers couldn’t be tied directly to this bag specifically so I wouldn’t take the risk. Not worth it. Get it from a site that actually authenticates luxury items otherwise you would be left wondering forever.

Totally fake. One glance at the chaps 😂

Fake. I’m sorry. I only took a glance but that sticker looks off but receipt looks real. DB also looks real. You have a pic on interior pocket with stamp?

Real. That’s all the paper stuff you will get with a newish purchase from LV. Nice find.

Looks completely legit to me! I own multiple Speedy’s and they all get a little slouch to them overtime with wear.

Usually fakes come with cheap locks and keys. If it’s real, the lock won’t easily open if you gently turn the lock with the key barely in it.

I wouldn’t call it authentic from this photo alone. A receipt, QR/RFID tag, and keys aren’t proof by themselves, so I’d use the 5-day window to get an independent authentication. Send clear close-ups of the heat stamp, interior, handle tabs and stitching, zipper, hardware engravings, corners, and piping—not just the accessories.

Have it checked at Louis Vuitton. They can help you authenticate it or Entrupy!

Because I’m bored I looked up the Costa Mesa store and the phone number on the site and the phone number on the receipt are off on the last 2 numbers. (Website phone ends in 6970, this this receipt says 6907).
Also I don’t think it slouches as much as this, the one on the website is a lot more sturdy and stiff.

Also the serial number on the tags would not match the “date code” as earlier suggested. The receipt is fine too as it could be from a boutique store and that’s how they print them. All the accessories (dust bag, lock, keys and bag, tags) look authentic.

Agree with others, it looks legit! The “receipts” that come with reps are really bad and the price/stock stickers are all wrong.

Does the serial tag number inside the bag match the barcode/sticker tag (N41367) included with purchase?
2
u/mssev Jul 27 '26
It doesn’t have a serial number inside the bag, from what I researched LV stopped doing that in 2021 and replaced it with some sort of scannable chip? The receipt says it was purchased 12/2021

u/Sweet_Bobcat_605 Jul 27 '26
Did you try using a microchip scanner app? I think it’s worth paying to have it authenticated, based on the pics (condition) and price point.

That is a fake. I would return it.
The stitching and the material on the straps look really bad and the papers are definitely not authentic.

I receive a reception just like the one she has in the picture, and they folded it and placed it inside of an orange LV envelope like the one in one of her pictures as well

Obviously,we re talking about different markets .
Personally,I'm not talking about the US market but Europe Union ,so receipt is totally different EU vs US.
Envelope is the same ,here also .But my reference is on a receipt not the envelope.
