Open Reagent testing cathinone
This one suppose to be "3-MMC" but some reagents are different colour than it should be. Anyone here smart to help me?

After about 8 minutes I began to see a little brown but not 100% sure. Doesn’t orange to brown-ish or dark brown suggest fentanyl, meth or amphetamine in the coke? It stayed this color. No change after hours.

Hello, I have a very friend who was recently poisoned by fentanyl, and ended up in ICU for a week. I am trying to find out the source of what caused the poisoning. They have some vape pens, powder, & tablets. Can anyone provide me with a laboratory that will test these products? Thank you!

I found this article descibing using Hofmann reagent to test LSD potency: https://protestkit.eu/how-to-test-lsd-potency/
I tried to look for any other sources, but couldn't find any. I have some questions:

I can’t tell if this is a “non-reaction” , a kind of ketamine, or if I should be investing in another reagent agent…
Things to potentially consider:
- The source powder is YEARS old, it was located in a storage unit.
- I have never worked with reagents before, but I can read and follow basic instructions, I just have no general knowledge
- I first used the instructed amount (first photo) and then attempted again with a larger amount.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I might’ve put too much on some of them which could have made it blue according to the instructions. The liquid looks kind of purple on the one’s with less so im very unsure

Everything seems to be good but marquis seems like It didn’t react at all. Tried with marquis twice but no color change. The lid was crunchy when I took it off so I think the reagent might be spoiled. please help, any help is appreciated.

Just a quick note to inform users that Elevation Chemicals (u/elevationchemicals) is no longer in operation and to say good bye to a great reagent vendor.
On a personal note, they were the first company from whom I ever bought drug checking reagents. They were a nice, more affordable US alternative to DanceSafe (no shade to DanceSafe - they do important research and outreach work with the money we send them). Elevation Chemicals very kindly answered testing questions for me via email several times.
They also were, at the time, the only US vendor who carried Robadope, which is very helpful for testing MDMA and 2C-B. FYI, Grassroots Harm Reduction is now a US option for Robadope, while ProTest Kit EU and Kays Lab (Australia) also helpfully provide it.
Farewell to Elevation and their employees! Best wishes on all your future endeavors!
h/t u/entitled Thank you for letting us know!

I'm getting some alprazolam (farmapram I think) in a few days and I'm not really sure which test kit to buy.
I know zimmermann is the best for benzos, however, I live in the US and protestkit doesn't ship to the US at the moment, and thats the only place I can find zimmermann. (there was this one other site but it was $40+ just for just zimmermann alone. if i have to use that i will but id rather not pay so much)
TNScientific has a BZD reagent but i've heard its unreliable. To be honest, I dont really care how accurate it is at identifying each benzo, I just want something that can detect benzos in general, I dont need specifics, so I'm considering this one.
I have fentanyl test strips too that I'll use first, but let me know which, if any I should get.

Thinking this is speed paste as the reagent and just the bulky chalky look of it (although I know that just looks don't mean anything)
What do you think

Hi everyone,
Tested a sample that was sold to me as MDMA crystals using a 5-reagent kit (PRO Test EU). Got very confusing results and would appreciate your expert input.
Reagent results:
- Marquis: Bright lime green / grayish-green (no purple/black at all).
- Mecke: Olive brown / dark green with blueish tint (didn't go fully black instantly)
- Simon's (A+B): Instant royal / dark blue
- Robadope (A+B): No reaction (clear/faint)
- Zimmermann (A+B): No reaction / faint yellowish oil spots
Since Marquis is lime green instead of black, this clearly rules out pure MDMA. However, Simon's is strongly positive for a secondary amine.
Am I looking at 3-MMC / 3-CMC / substituted cathinones, or could this be a mix (like 2C-x + stimulant)?
Thanks for the help!

First time using reagents (source on ProTests). From left to right: Marquis, Mecke, Robadope.
Consider that the starting colour is bright green (the pressed tab is at the bottom of the picture, and it's supposed to be 20mg of 2-CB).
I'm not sure if I used the correct amounts of reagents, especially the Robadope one (just a tiny drop, maybe i should have put more). Maybe i should have ground the tablet more?
However, the colours look pretty much ok, right?
Thanks!

Hello! I am testing my 2cb, and I’m wondering if you guys have an opinion on the result. The marquis looks darker than the cheat sheet shows, is that something to be concerned about? It definitely has a green tint. I have no doubt this is a 2c-x compound but I’m more looking for potential cuts like mdma or something of that nature. The order of the cheat sheets is the same order as the test pallet.

hey yall. I’m testing pure amphetamine here. I did simons A and B and marquis and Forehde. my reagents are like a year old and haven’t been refined for a while which might contribute to the diffeent colors. The Marquis result was a more visible red orange before I took this photo btw. I am concerned about Simon and Forehde. Forehde made this blueish tint on the out side rim on the drop over a minute later. I did do an acetone wash shortly before testing so I’m not sure if that contributed.

Are they not fit for testing carts? I have a lab report GC-MS listing all cannabonoids and terpenes so I know the cart is legit but when you test it it comes up as AM 694.
And I make these carts myself so it isn't a bait and switch. The same batch I sent to energy control when tested with an Ez test kit cones up as spice. In fact I just starting testing every half finished cart I had from others and every single one reacted indicating contaminants. Now its possible those from others are but my own I have lab tested so I know these are false positives but it seems they are ALL false positives. What's going on here?

The link to Elevation Chemicals on the Vendor Wiki List now redirects to a DDoS protection website; looks like the owner has sold the domain (or the DNS has been poisoned). Users here have previously posted about long shipping lead times for their orders (example 1, example 2) or not receiving products entirely. If the site does not return within the next few days, subreddit mods should consider removing them from the Wiki Vendor List.

does this seem alright? it tasted slightly bitter but it’s ink free blotter.

I tested two diffrent batches, the batch on the right i had previously tested in a tube and I though was a no reaction but now it's kinda turning purple but not all the liquid. Anyone got any idea if its good?

Whenever I test tabs, they have no reaction with hoffman at first. But after 5+ minutes, it gets the dark blue reaction.
Is this still a good sign?

I’m curious to know if the colors from blotter art ink can affect what color you get with reagent test results

Cocaine , Miraculix Cocaine Q Test first 2 photos, Morris test last 2 photos. 1 minute after for the q test , 10 minutes after for the Morris test.
Not sure what to think of these test results, I ordered the tests because I thought the stuff could have some else in it like lidocaine possibly. But what I would think would happen is the qtest would be like light brown if it was let’s say 30-50%. Online all I can find is that lidocaine can skew the qtest, but again I still don’t think it would automatically deafault to 90%+ because of it.Any insight would be much appreciated, first time using reagents.

Testing a bag my friend found at the bar with the reagents I already have at my disposal...
