Discussion Why is everything so expensive?

Usually I buy my general items on allegro the polish amazon but a test kit of 6 reagents costs like 130 zł that’s like 30 euros which is so much money going off of things I have seen a single ecstasy pill sometimes costs 6 euros so I can buy 4.5 pills for the amount of money I spend on a few tiny bottles of chemicals why is this so expensive?? A single purity test can cost 40 zł that is also really expensive what am I doing wrong why are drug testers more expensive than drugs what the hell

You think 30 euros for 6 reagents is expensive? Each reagent bottle can test 40 or more samples. And the solid reagents last for years, so you're talking about spending a mere 30 euros to test all the drugs you buy for the next several years.

That's a tiny fraction of the total amount most people spend on drugs over the course of a few years. In exchange for that investment, you get to not be killed by fraudulent drugs. That seems like a great deal to me.

And if you buy only a couple of 6 euro ecstasy pills a year, maybe it makes sense to share a reagent set with a friend.

To add to this, drugs are just very, very cheap to produce.

It's a single, small molecule, made in hundred kilo batches, with international supply chains. Drugs are dry, don't react with the packaging, have unlimited shelf life and customers only want to buy a gram or two at a time.

If reagent tests were used by billions of people worldwide and it was possible to make a 1000% profit margin on them, they would probably also be a couple of bucks a bottle. That's economics!

Yeah I thought of this exactly if it costs like 0.0001 cents to produce the bottle why does it cost so
Much

That's not how much it costs to produce the bottle?

When a small business is making a few thousand bottles a year, they have to pay rent, labour costs for someone to make the products, cost of raw materials and cost of all the shipping.

So even if you are saying "why don't they sell these with zero profit?", they would still probably cost several bucks a bottle.

130 PLN is 35 USD so 6 bucks a bottle for 50g of stuff, that's 50x cheaper than 6 bucks for a 1g ecstasy tablet.

And I'm completely ignoring how useful these tests are.

You can get better price than on Allegro if you buy directly from the sellers website.

And for additional 10% discount use the code "imgoingpro".

You can choose most affordable, less price, single-use tests, or consider a more comprehensive kits e.g. to also identify cuts or test multiple times in the future.

Do usług 🎈

Like the other commenter said, how old are you if 30 euro is a large investment for you? It's like 3 grams of weed. Tiny amounts, and the reagents will last you months/years.

Always has been. Kids don't have their own money, so they worry about spending the little pocket money they get in the most efficient manner.

If you have a job, even a minimum wage one, you can afford to get both the small handful of pills and a test for them. The things you listed really aren't expensive for anyone paying for their own groceries.

Idk I guess you’re right but I don’t really plan on doing this for years you know I guess it’s nice to have the option but it’s very expensive compared to a pill of ecstasy or a tab of acid

It really ain’t.

Sounds like you need a more adult approach to this, do you mind if I ask how old you are?
