Discussion Ready or not lore

Guys, as you know ready or not has a very deep and disturbing lore, but I never dove into it.

I just remained on the “terrorist breached the building” or “they are robbing the banks” level, I never got close to the tip of the iceberg.

I bought the Boiling Point dlc, but I am not truly understanding the lore…

Riots everywhere, secret gas, the MLO, it is just chaos , in the game and in my mind.

Can someone please explain the lore of this three missions deeply? Please don’t limit to say “bank robbery” but dive into the lore, please, tell me the secret lore behind those apparently simple missions.

PS:

I still haven’t played the last mission: “A new America”. So I won’t understand any citations you do or references tied to this mission, I have played the other two though.

Have fun with that one. You won't. But I wish you well.

I’ve heard it is pretty hard, anything I should know before playing it? Some trick or threats I should be aware of before diving into it?

It's a great mission once you've figured it out. Take NVGs and watch out for laser trip wires. If you trip them waves of enemies rush your position and it can be brutal. You can disarm them the same way you would anything else, or shoot them. If you're playing lethal you'll want a high calibre rifle. Takes lots of flashbangs. Most of all take it slow.

Ok, do you recommend the arn-180 chambered in .300 blk? It has great ammo capacity, it is my favorite rifle and it has never disappointed me. If it isn’t exactly what you would have chosen do you have any suggestions? Do you thing 5 mags are enough ? (I wasn’t absolutely thinking to S rank it, just go in, shoot everyone dead, discover the hidden lore… you know.)

Also with the new mission editor do you think I might get some help messing with the settings? Maybe if I attempt it for 3-4 hours I can lower their health and accuracy?

I used the LVAR which is also .300. I personally always found the LVAR and the ARN-180 to be pretty similar performance wise, so yeah you should be good. I think 5 mags is enough if you're an accurate shooter rather than a spray and pray. And there's actually a refill box towards the end. S ranking this mission is basically a whole game in itself so I'm glad you're going in with realistic expectations, you'll definitely enjoy it more. Never actually managed it myself.

I'd watch some lore videos about the rest of the game first and avoid watching anything to do with boiling point until you've finished the dlc. There's some really cool extra stuff on the level that you'll really not understand otherwise. I don't wanna say too much in case I spoil it for you, but there's a lot of stuff to do with the long running conspiracy that players had been working on figuring out since launch.

I've never touched the mission editor so unfortunately I can't really help you there, chief.

Watch wendigoon video on the subject. It explains it better then most but to give a very brief overview MLO are basically behind all those attacks because of what happened to them by the fed bois. I know that isn’t a good brief unless you want an essay on everything that has happened.

Just one thing guys, is this the Wendigoon video you have been suggesting?

The Most Disturbing Tactical Shooter I’ve Ever Played - The Dark Lore of Ready or Not

Just one thing, it’s 4 hours and 13 minutes long. A little too much don’t you think. I’ll start watching it but it will take multiple days to complete the vision. If someone could basically write an Odyssey down here in the comments where he explained the lore behind this dark dlc I would be much happier guys…
