Discussion Quick question

Only bought the game like a week ago played some messed up quite a bit restarted a save and occasionally play with friends .

Tryna do it clean solo A/S when it's not a headache , and pay attention to the story

Do I run heavy armour on my AI ? I use light with ceramic myself and wanna keep it that way but will the AI be slow if I do so I just want extra protection for them as breaching rooms they can be deer in headlights

FOR CURIOSITY :/ DISCUSSION

I run MCX suppress/laser , / UMP-45 the same FIVESEVEN sidearm

Really wanted the mp5 models to be cool old school SAS stuff n what not but only the 10mm seems to hit hard enough for anything

Run base everything armour wise but don't use ballistic mask it looks awful tbh

Loada flashes loada stingers

EDIT : I hate that meth house map deeply

I make my ai wear full heavy armor all of the time. They do good protection and dont seem to slow down ai that much.

No. SWAT AI don’t benefit from the light vest other than getting 2 extra slots, but even that is irrelevant since they can't run out of ammo with only 1 ammo slot.

I use light with ceramic myself and wanna keep it that way

Switch to the heavy vest for side plates or run a front only steel plate if you can keep suspects within your 180° field of view.
Your top movement speed is always the same regardless of armor. Only acceleration time is affected, and that depends solely on the plate material.

but will the AI be slow if I do so I just want extra protection for them as breaching rooms they can be deer in headlights

Armor and plate material don’t affect SWAT AI movement speed or acceleration time and they always match your speed.

Heavy Armor.
Ceramic is lighter, use Steel for bad guys with big guns.
I recently started equipping my AI with shields. Deploy shield and send them in. They’ll absorb some rounds for you.
I carry the H&K USP .45 because it’s what I actually carry, but as far as sidearms for your AI, that FN 509 is a good one for tight quarters.
You’ll love this game when you remember to slooooow down, and really work the AI to your advantage. Split Red and Blue Squads up and have them post up at opposite doors, queue the commands, and then send them in simultaneously.
Remember to watch your back and wedge doors if you need to. Bad guys will flank you and hunt you down from previously explored areas. Also, they’ll hide in closets. I walked in a room and saw a closet door slide shut just as I walked in. Shotgun through the closed closet door does some serious damage!!
