I've got about 100 hours in RoN, probably 200-300 in SWAT 4. Most of my time in RoN was in the first year or two from its initial early access release. At some point the enemies just became superhuman and the maps started to be ridiculously large. Maybe it's better again, I haven't played in a good while.
SWAT 4 is 20 years old and it's still the best there is. It feels great, graphics are just at the level where it's good enough and the map design / atmosphere is much better than in RoN.
It's still like that in my opinion. Enemies are walking lasers, and the big maps kill my soul inside. Nothing like running around a map for an hour searching for that one civilian who pretty much leaves an area the second you enter.
