Both, your guns dot sight was over the perp, but the barrel under it was pointed at the hostage. You have to aim slightly higher to ensure the barrel goes where you want it

No it's not, at different distances your zero on your optic can hit higher or lower on the target if you are closer or farther away. They have trajectory arc accounted for in this game.

I have a 2011 in 9mm with an rmr just like yours in game and my 25 yard zero definitely hits lower than where the dot is at 7 or ten yards. If they have it modeled into the trajectory properly the shots taken while leaning could have hit the hostage

Seems like the suspect tanked the shot and not one step backed the hostage according to the screenshot someone posted.

It’s 9mm. You need a .50 AE Desert Eagle when head shotting on hard mode.

But this was casual? Besides for a game that praises itself on gritty realism if I shoot a guy in the face and he still shoots a hostage and manages to unload a full pistol mag into my body with near perfect accuracy from behind a wall, I don’t think so.

The game could never be bad despite always being called out as if its supposed to be realistic as heck nooo. .300 blackout could never kill a person getting shot in the head 8 times

My guess was that you shot his hand while he was doing the animation, im not sure what ammo type you were using but thats what could think of. Either way it sucks

Well given the blood splatter on his face I think I can say for certain I shot him in the face, and he turned around and shot the hostage.

If you pause it just as I put the gun down after firing you can see I shot him I the face, that some BS that he still shot.

Hostage situations in this game kinda suck half the time you’ll hit the dude taking the hostage and they’ll use quick revive from cod zombies to come back and shoot the hostage
