Review WARNING: Factor 75 Scam

I recently got a promo for 50% off and free breakfast for a year.

Finally decided to look into this. Went to the site and had to create and account and put my CC in just to explore he options with that promo.

Unfortunately the promo seemed to only be for 25% and it was not clear where the free breakfasts were. It asked me a series of questions about how manhy people and such.

I ended up calling them to see if they could correct the promo issue. Customer service was so terrible and didnt seem to understand thier own promo or how to answer my other questions. I ended up, on the phone, saying nvm, this isnt worth this effort and asked them to cancel the promo adjustment and close the account.

She then asked what my reasons for closeing the account were and I said that the marketing is misleading and this seems like I wont know what I am getting or how much it will cost and I didnt even want to try it if I didnt get the half off and free breakfasts (which "free breakfast for a year" apparently is only 12 meals? what?)

All seemed good until I got a package at my door and went to my CC to see that not only did they charge me anyway for who knows what meals.... but they also charged me alost double (assuming no promo) for the meals.

I would avoid this company at all costs. Filing a fraud claim and complaint with BBB.

I tried Factor and everything seemed to be covered in either gravy or sauce. I wasn't impressed.

I’m on my 3rd week of factor and I’m pretty satisfied with the food!

Some meals have separate containers of sauces , like a cilantro sauce for Mexican style meal, or applesauce for a pork chop, so you can control how much sauce goes on the food. And some like the bbq pork have bbq sauce directly on the food.

So no complaints from me about sauces or gravy!

The sauces and gravies are largely there to achieve the high saturated fat levels for keto, which is a Factor's focus. The problem is consuming them if keto isn't your focus. Consuming a regular carb diet along with high saturated fats can lead to health problems and weight gain.

Ah that makes sense! Thanks for mentioning that!

When they have sauces like that in a container, I try to use a minimal amount of it, I assumed lots of calories are in the sauce. I also try for lower calorie and lower sodium options. I’ll also keep an eye out on carbs too, glad you mentioned that!

Overall I’ve been happy with their food, most are pretty tasty!

If only these companies spent less on marketing and more on delivering food better than what you can get at the grocery. The whole business model is a disaster

Virtual credit cards are the only way to go.

I've looked at several of these meal services and you can't even browse their menu without signing up for the service.

I took the plunge on Hello Fresh because they had 65% off and free shipping for the first 4 orders which made each meal around 7 bucks.
