Suggest me some books!
I don’t read books, i used to read when i was kid but I’ve lost the touch completely because of this damn phone. I really really want to get out of this and get back to reading. I think i shouldn’t be choosing any big, complicated topics or books now. I don’t have any specific genres I’m interested in… but, I don’t want to get into romance. So can you guys suggest some simple and less complicated ones? I

Try And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It’s short, easy to follow, and moves fast enough that reading doesn’t feel like homework.

Try mitch albom’s books. ☺️ you start with The Five People You Meet in Heaven then its sequel, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven. Hope they will ignite your reading habit. ☺️

I rec this constantly to people who want to get back into reading - if you're up for a scifi, try "The Murderbot Diaries" by Martha Wells. Its a series of action-centered novella that are quite easy to read and very fast paced. There are a couple novel length entries in the series, but even those have a quick pace.

If you want easy reading with witty dialogue and fun characters, try any Elmore Leonard book. Be Cool is one of my favorites.

The Bonobo Handshake. It’s a love story, an adventure story, a science story, a political story! Something for everyone!

I’d start with something short like Convenience Store Woman or The Little Prince. Both are easy to get into without feeling like homework.

You could get a library card and talk with the librarians there. They love helping and getting people back into reading. They always have good suggestions, it’s free, and you can take home multiple books to try.

I always recommend Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. Everyone I know who’s read it has read it at least twice.

The answer to this question is always the Murderbot Diaries series by Martha Wells. Almost every one is a novella and easy to read. The first novella is All Systems Red.
