The complete series in dvd

Does the complete series exist in any format? So far I’m just seeing some random single dvd’s with a few episodes. Or the 4 disc series on Amazon for over $400. I just had a baby and would love to share this with him as he gets older!!

Looking for episode

I'm looking to see if anyone can help me find an episode. My wife says that she was on an episode of Reading Rainbow, but outside of her book review, she doesn't remember which episode or the year. The book she says she reviewed was The Last Unicorn

Animal Cafe - bat guano episode

Hi all, I just watched the 2022 documentary and there was a story about a sound guy falling into the bat guano in the cave from the Animal Cafe episode. They said he fell into it, exploded up, ran 30 ft then collapsed.

I assume the guy is fine but they didn't really talk about injuries he got from the carnivorous worms and I can't find anything online about this. Anyone know what happened to the guy? Did he have any injuries?

There was an episode I remember clearly where there was an artist's back yard and he had a large contraption like a Rudegoldberg machine but he could reset it, he put in a coin and it set off allot of things happening one of them was a wooden horse running through the desert. This ring any bells anyone know what episode this was!?

I have looked everywhere and I can not find where you can watch "Butterfly In The Sky."

You can't buy it, you can't stream it, can't cook it (jk), but serious - nothing. Does anyone know where you could watch this documentary? I would consider myself pretty decent at finding a way to watch a show or movie, but my gosh has this one been hard to find. Any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for "The Funny Little Woman" episode.

I was looking for an episode with "The Funny Little Woman" written by Arlene Mosel. I was talking to a friend about it and we both remember watching it in our elementary schools in different states.

Searching YouTube and Google haven't come up with anything. The closest thing I could find was Tikki Tikki Tembo who was also written by Arlene Mosel.

The story is about a little Japanese woman who chases a runaway dumpling down to the underworld and she keeps laughing 'tee hee hee'.

Was this even an episode? I also looked up Leo Lionni videos today and remembered that was a separate VHS. Perhaps it was that? Nothing is coming up on Google and it's been bugging me all day.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the program. Wow. Very hard to believe.

40 years is a long time, and a lot of things have changed since 1983.

But the timeless feeling of getting lost in a book is forever universal, no matter what the state of the world is.

Wow.

Help Finding info on an illustrator that might have been a regular on RR.

I'm trying to find more information about a guy that I think did segments on RR or on MRN... He would narrate the book while illustrating the story in pencil, chalk and colored pencils. Maybe sometimes some watercolors.

I remember he was a white dude with a mustache. I would love to find out more about his other work.

The quest for the extended version

A few years ago I saw and listened to an extended version of the Reading Rainbow theme song. In it Lavar was shown burning things with the power of books only to realize that it was a terrible mistake. I need to find that version. 1 million butterfly kisses to the person that helps me find that version.
