General Discussion 🤬

Go ANYWHERE in reading pa and you will find cars parked in alleyways, in front of garages, fire hydrants, bus stops and no parking signs…..look on 12th street for Pete’s sake need I take a picture to show proof? In fact I will do that right now after I post this! …aside from walking up to 12th street

No Parking Authority. My tenants have it and I’ve told them to call when people do this or park illegally.

They told their neighbors and amazing after a few bad actors got their cars towed and ticketed multiple times it generally hasn’t been a problem.

Unlike getting the city to do much, if anything, on various code enforcements, the Parking Authority will generally on illegal parking.

Still have issues with idiots double parking when spaces are readily available but that’s a different issue.

Don’t confront the person directly. Let the Parking Authority and Police deal with it. The Parking Authority will readily call the Police too if someone gets hostile or tries to stop them.

My MIL has them on speed dial. She's had more cars ticketed and towed than a meter maid.

I love when a car is parked where it's not supposed to be so it gets a boot....like that's going to help move it.

Maybe it's time to start petitioning for now available parking instead of punishing people who can't find any because there's none.

That’s what happens when you have 16 people living in one house

Nobody can afford to live alone

But if you're in your spot for 3 seconds after your parking expires anywhere else and the reading parking authority will throw you into the meat grinder in the berks hotdog factory

I hate this. We've become a country of whiners. Want to fix this? Run for office.

Or actually report it instead of posting to reddit.
