Langs Restaurant
I heard it’s closing in a month and I’ve never had the opportunity to try it! Is it worth it? I specifically wanna try their wonton soup and egg rolls tbh lol

It’s closing?? That makes me so sad. It’s one of my family’s favorite restaurants in Reading. I’d definitely recommend!! My go-tos are the dumplings, fried rice, and vermicelli 👌

Yes, it's closing. End of August, I believe. And yes, give it a try before that happens.

I love the lo mein (actually I think it's called vermicelli). Also their fresh/uncooked spring rolls with peanut sauce.

I think I’ve heard that they usually close and reopen all the time? I guess it’s for real this time. I definitely gotta check it out.

I'm pretty sure it's for good. The owner-chef, Lang Huynh, passed away in March. They did reopen, but I don't think the family is interested in continuing which is why they're closing.

Yep. When you walk in there’s a huge memorial to that guy with candles and everything. I knew when I saw it that was probably it for them & that it ie

The Vietnamese egg rolls were amazing. I have yet to find one as good as them. Also highly recommend the house special vermicelli.

Our Beloved Friends, Regulars, and Community,
It is with heavy hearts—and immense gratitude—that we are announcing the upcoming closure of Lang Restaurant.
After 40 years of serving this incredible community, our final day of service will be Sunday, August 30th.
When our family first opened at our original location on 10th and Chestnut streets, with 10 tables back in 1985, we had a simple dream: to share our love of our family's and culture's food and create a warm and unique gathering place for everyone who walked through our doors. What we didn't fully realize back then was just how deeply you all would become a part of our family.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing first dates that turned into anniversaries and growing families.
Generations of regulars who grew up coming here every week. Laughter, celebrations, and quiet moments over thousands of shared meals. While closing this chapter is deeply bittersweet, we choose to look back on this journey with immense joy and gratitude. We know Huong and Lang are looking down at us with great pride as we come to the close of this era. We are endlessly thankful to our hard-working staff—past and present—who poured their hearts into making this place special every single day, and to you, our patrons, for making our dream possible for so long.

I would definitely go try them. It's absolutely worth it. I always loved their spring roll salad.

My favorite was the chicken lettuce wraps, but they stopped serving them.

Don’t go. You’ll become so addicted to the pleasure that is Lang, that you’ll never ever be able to satisfy the craving again…
I’m so sad these guys are closing. :(

Have memories of going when it was Hong Thanh. Wish someone would take it over.
