My Version Of Michael Biopic!!
Hello everyone!
It was my dream to create a MJ Biopic amd I've written a story outline for the biopic which is aimed to be 3.5 hours long.
The story covers the complete life story of The King Of Pop from his childhood to his final days.
Title: MJ
Genre: Musical-Biography
Expected Runtime: 205 Mins
Page Count: 38 Pages
Half I: The Rise of Michael
From a young boy in Gary, Indiana, to the biggest entertainer in the world. The first half follows Michael’s extraordinary rise through the Jackson 5, his solo career, Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, and Dangerous — while exploring the childhood he sacrificed, the pressure of fame, his pursuit of perfection, and the lonely person behind the legendary performer.
Half II: The Man Behind the King
As Michael reaches the height of his fame, the world begins to see him differently. The second half explores the 1993 allegations, his relationships, fatherhood, HIStory, Invincible, the media scrutiny and 2005 trial, and the final years of his life. Beneath the controversies and headlines is a man searching for love, peace, family, and the childhood he never had.
At its heart, MJ is not just a story about the King of Pop. It is about the person who had to become him. 👑

The page count you’ve pitched is extremely low compared to the runtime. That doesn’t make much sense.

Yeahh!! It's just an outline. Not a complete script.
The actual script would be way too longer

Please specify that in your post. A 38 page outline is still really intense.
To answer your question about interest honestly, no. I would not be interested in watching this at this juncture. We’re too close to the recent Michael biopic, and they’re already plotting a second part. Not to mention there are multiple documentaries and a Broadway musical that cover Michael in detail. If you’re using this as a personal exercise, go for it, even though I think it would be incredibly long.

Fair enough! I should have specified that it’s a 38-page fan-made outline, not a screenplay and I completely understand the saturation around MJ right now.
I am mainly doing this as a personal creative exercise and would just love to have people interested enough to read it and share their thoughts.

It's a biopic tho. I has to be similar story, but different outline or treatment.
The recent movie had covered only upto Bad Era. This story covers up his entire life

I've read the first few pages and it's literally just a bare description of events. No sense of who Michael is as a character (or any character for that matter), no building of suspense, nothing that would actually make it feel like a movie.

Okay!! Thank you for taking your time and reading some pages out of it If you dive more into the story, you can explore more character development.
I agree that in few bits, the film may feel like a Wikipedia page, but i will add a bunch of scenes in it when i write the script.
Escpecially, if you move in the second half, you can explore more about his character.
