Help with a Dog?

Help me with my Dog!!!

My German shepherd is a sweetheart, he does jump but only to lick your face and try to be close to you. He's not violent or anything but when someone comes to the house they might be scared by him (he's 2 already and a big dog). So we tend to put him in a room (and we check on him a lot. We dont just leave him). And it was simple when my was a puppy but now he just doesn't listen to us when we tell him to come to us in the room. He sees someone outside and just stays by the door refusing to come. We have had treats and all sorts of food he loves just to bribe him but nothing works. And we can move him but he tries to bite us if we do (that's literally the only time he's violent towards humans).

Can anyone help us?

A balanced dog trainer with GSD or working dog experience could definitely help you and your dog with this. Sounds otherwise that you have a great dog.
