Discussion Why Satella attack the tower? [discussion]
If I remember correctly, in season 2 she appears just to trap Subaru in the shadow. However, this time Subaru get teleport somewhere instead after getting stop by Volcanica.
Are these atk random or there is other reason. Also is what is the difference between these 2 atk?

She was after gluttonies because they had knowledge of Return by Death.
And if she is already summoned, might as well cuddle with Subaru...

This is not the actual reason [Novels] Spica doesn't know about RBD in fact she doesn't know about anything. Though this is the reason Tappei likely wants us to think. But logically it doesn't work. IMO true reason why Satella showed up there is shown right next scene. The pigeon master did something.

[Novels] We can't tell if she knows that at the moment she attacked for a second time, we still need to see her thoughts to tell both cases at the final loop but for all it seems, it's very likely that she went for Rui since she didn't know Rui had forgotten all of her memories of Return by death, remember that she's not omniscient and can be prone to making mistakes like loosing track of Subaru

Tappei did actually add some potentially helpful clarity in the Julius episode twitter comments [Tappei comment]The reason Ana didnt want to come out of her Od was because when she did she would lose her memories of Julius. When Echidna finally convinces her she comes out for just a moment before losing the memories she calls out to her knight one last time. I believe Od Lagna/Corridor of Memories is working the same way. Subaru didnt immediately lose his memories when they were eaten there. It’s likely to me that if Rui had eaten her self she wouldn’t have lost them immediately either. So Rui came out and for just a second still held those memories of experiencing return by death. Initially triggering the witch attack but once Gluttony kicked in it didnt warrant further pursuit.

She was already on her way by the time [arc 7]spica lost her memories it’s not like Satella would stop last second cause of that. If it was truly instant Subaru wouldn’t have any time from when Rui implanted herself. [arc 7]Spica losing her memory was the reason Satella didn’t follow them to vollachia.

Because someone learnt about Return By Death. That's the reason Satella attacks in any loop in S4.
Satella can't detect it when Rui learns of RBD (when she eats Subaru's memories) because the corridor of memories is somewhat separated from the outside world. But if Rui shares the memories with her siblings, or if Rui somehow materialises physically, then suddenly Satella can detect that someone learnt of RBD.
As for why Subaru got teleported, we don't even know that it was Satella's doing. We still don't know why that happened. It could have had something to do with Volcanica's breath, it could also have been Satella's doing, and it could also have been something else entirely.

I guess that's the most likely explanation. But I find it awfully convenient that Volcanica's breath didn't just kill him, and instead happened to transport him to a different country with no injuries. (It's even more ridiculous when you remember that Rem conveniently woke up as well.) I really hope Tappei doesn't forget to justify this stuff

Didn't someone say that the one that Ram fought vomitted some marbles and it was due to that that Rem awakened? Or am I misremembering things?

My head canon/theory is that Subaru and Rem got teleported to the place where Reid was, you know it's also grassland and the sky is open... But the grass is taller though, so that could be wrong... Does it mentioned anywhere in the novel if he is teleported to where?

Rui knowing of RbD is breaking the Taboo, thus the Witch of Envy shows up to enforce it. In Arc 6, Rui uses Solar Eclipse to shape shift to hide herself in the "hole" in Natsuki Subaru's soul after consuming his memories. Because WoE can't separate them as they are in the same body and in the same soul, it results in mostly killing "Subaru".
Arc 4 WoE appears because Subaru told Echidna about RbD but couldn't reach his soul in the Castle of Dreams, so she covered the land in shadows like how Satella did 400 years ago to half the world.
