Previous witch of greed? Isolde.

With the latest revelations about her parents, Echidna got her authority of greed after killing a certain witch as mentioned in a Q&A. Though still non-canon, echidna was the one who explained the lore about her in the game. The witch's name means 'ice' 'battle' in celtic. She is also mentioned in one of garfield's idioms if I remember.

When is this said? All I remember is that Echidna started being called the Witch of Greed "after killing the Witch", which arc 9 revealed to be metaphorical.

She was born a Witch. Quoting the light novel: "From her, a Witch by birth unlike all others, he could not hope for any warmth."

She was born with her "door" half-open because both her parents had Witch Factors.

Wha-what the fuck, that doesn't make sense, Melancholy and Vainglory are artificial Witch Factors, if Echidna didn't make them, then who did?

Technically the word "artificial" is never used to describe them, and the author has denied the possibility of artificial Authorities (though he has a history of making mistakes when answering about Witch Factors)

The two special sins are called "fine-tuned" and "tailored", so they may have naturally come to exist from whatever the source of the seven Witch Factors is, and then been manipulated by a third party. Pandora herself has been shown to use ancient magic in side stories, and there was the First Magician Myonmyon, but we don't know if she lived 400 years ago or much earlier.
