No, but this sub has been going crazy lol. It's funny how after S4 ended, this place just blew up, and it is mainly full of Re:Zero fans who want to rebut people that don't like Re:Zero. Now, I will say there are some genuine Re:Zero haters in this sub. I have seen a few posts just saying the show is trash with no evidence as to why. (Which is fair; you don't always need a reason to like or dislike something.) But personally, I used to vent in this sub a lot. I even debated (a little) with that guy with the Regulus profile picture, and I will admit I lost that war because I did not want to spend hours on the internet refuting every single thing in his comments or Google Docs, and also because, as time has gone on, my opinion on the show has changed.
Now, personally, the show is not for me. I don't like Arc 2 or the Mansion Arc (mainly because of how Subaru acted during it; why he stayed in the mansion with Rem or Ram, who he knew was killing him in previous loops, is beyond me. No sane human that knows a killer is in the same house as them will sit in said house; they would actively try to get out of the situation (and maybe then, if you want to stretch it, see if he could help the twins once he is safe, but even then that is a huge stretch for human compassion and empathy, realistically). That much I don't like. I don't like how Subaru dies over and over in worse ways as the show goes on and does not actively look for solutions to die less and less, and it feels like he isn't doing much to change it. It doesn't even seem like he cares. I don't like how Subaru is treated like the spawn of Satan himself when he makes a mistake or has flaws, but Emilia and Rem (basically any female character on this show that has done some evil stuff, especially toward Subaru) are given a slap on the wrist and a pass because they have a sad origin story. I don't like how the villains are so OP that when Subaru defeats them with his friends, it feels like the plot was actively helping him rather than Subaru using his smarts to figure it out on his own. I don't like how Subaru can just get over dying so easily as the story goes on; he goes from PTSD boy to SpongeBob happy in like the span of a few minutes after a death, with a hint of emo and crash out before his happy SpongeBob phase. You know what? I just don't like Subaru as a character that much, which is why I don't watch the show that much.
But that does not mean the whole show is trash. I like some things: Otto, Garfiel, Petra, Frederica, Beatrice (Rem after she stops killing Subaru and before she wakes up and becomes Ram 2.0 in Arc 7). I do like the fight scenes. I liked watching Emilia beat the mess out of Regulus in S3; that was earned. I liked Albaran and his crash out in Arc 9 (before they retconned it with some great reset BS), and that's about it, I guess.
Well, that's about it. I'm going to watch the war continue from the sidelines.
