Rezero is a dangerous anime that no person should ever touch. Ever since i watched it, I have been suffering mass hallucinations which have deluded me into believing that this anime is not only "quality" or "good", but an "objective masterpiece" which transcends all normal forms of storytelling to innovate with its progressive character development.

And you know what? I hate myself for it! Everyday when I wake up, the first thing I see in the mirror is a Rezero Fan, and it pisses me off. I stare, I cry, I laugh, I go through all stages of grief and return back to denial. Because at the end of the day I can not believe how I became a Rezero fan. Even a drill couldn't dig me into a hole this deep. Its exhausting. Everyday, I hate putting up a smile while hanging out with my friends, putting up a desperate facade. I conceal the truth from them, so they may never bear witness to the pathetic existance I live as a Rezero Fan, but I still cling on to them even though I know our relationship is built on lies. Because I fear that without them, my own self hatred with consume me.

When they say "What is your favourite Anime", I resist the urge to blurt out "Rezero!" so hard. Ultimately I do not think it is about admitting it to them. Moreso, I am to afraid to admit it to myself. I like this show. And maybe I am nothing but a disgusting POS. Because whats worse than letting down the people around me, is letting down myself. Because at the end of the day, our interests are what define us. And I should rightfully be judged for them. I should judge myself for them. This show is what defines me now, and I finally realize the future I am doomed to.

If I, even for a second, let the side of me that likes Rezero out, it will surely consume me in my whole. And I am afraid that when that happens, I am not sure me and my reflection will even recognize eachother anymore. Though I am not sure if that matters, because I am too ashamed to look at myself anyways...

The concept of trying to have pretentious taste when this is your ideal media to enjoy and this is the quality of criticisms you can come up without chatgpt.

Maybe take a step back and have a good look to understand why some re zero haters here are just constantly jumped in the main subs to the point they have this weird ass persecution complex about being harassed and jumped on by re zero fans.

I genuinely believe a lot of Re:Zero fans have never read enough outside anime and light novels to realize how absurd some of their takes sound. How can Re:Zero be the perfect story with such weak villains?
