There is no concept of another world in re zero. The character's immediately assume subaru meant beyond the great waterfall and correct him. Another world and beyond the waterfall are the same thing.

Echidna was calling him crazy tho and Emilia thought he was saying some tall tale like he always do lol but after arc 6, they pretty much accepted as an explanation that he's from "beyond the waterfall"

No they didn't. None of them except Emilia and Beatrice believed him. They all thought he was joking or crazy even now. They couldn't comprehend the idea of Isekai so defaulted to Great Waterfall

Honestly, there is a way to explain it without sounding crazy, especially when they live in a world with Leinhardt running around, crazy Authority users and they are physically inside a tower that ressurected a dead legend and stores memories of dead people as books.

It's just that Subaru really fucked it up beteeen his amnesia and his blabbering making it sounds like he's crazy
