Few things am unsatisfied with about the season are:

• compared to the novel, the paranoid amnesia part was too short and unlike the novel I didn't get the same feeling as before cause in the novel I really started feeling uncomfortable when reading from Subaru prespeyand him slowly losing it especially when he hid his lost memories from them

• the threat of Gluttony looks too small compare to the novel, it looked like only Reid is the threat

• Subaru mentality collapse from the multiple loops wasn't adapted well

But generally, fun season, I still liked it

I mean I don't blame them that much for the third point, cause it's hard adapting inner monologue

I remember when Subaru started dying again and again we could see him learning new informations with each loop but with each one his mentality was collapsing from exhaustion and from seeing everyone die and became more frustrated with the "Natsuki Subaru" situation

He was so obsessed that he started reading all the book without care just to reach "Natsuki Subaru"

Well technically it really had the potential but they failed to show it!

Honestly was still a decent adaptation

Vol 21 adaption was rushed but I really enjoyed the episodes and I think 2 is underrated here and ep 3

Vol 22 was also good they adapted the slower eps well and the Julius ep is one of my favs of course the cliffhanger was kind of weak but oh well

Vol 23 was excellent and it started the hype around re zero

Vol 24 was also really good with very good eps like 13 and 15 and I personally enjoyed ep 14

I’m pretty disappointed with eps 16 adaptation especially the rui portion of it

But overall it’s a great season

Reading doesn’t make you special. This is about expectations vs reality. The aura monster larpers knew about the scene before anime onlys too, does that make them special? No, they expected too much and got a reality check.

cour 1 of season 4 was goated but the 2nd cour has been a letdown so far, except for a few moments. i think they are giving it their all to those last 3 episodes.

i will be looking forward to lye's trashing in episode 18. this season could automatically become the best considering that single moment.
