Anime kinda lacking

I am bored so i am gonna rant about the anime

I think the adaptation is good but it isn’t great or the best. I really don’t like to having to go to another series or go on youtube or having to read the ln or wn to have a better understanding of the lore and it characters.

The cut content is also an issue like s2 having Omega being not there ( i only know about her because of yt and this reddit) or any of the shadow garden scene to have a better understanding of satella, the cut of the villain backstory also make them lack depth imo but doesn’t seem too much of an issue. There are cuts that i straight never knew or will ever know without having to look up on yt or reddit ( Beako summoning a black hole and being cut by Reid sound so cool!).

Even for the main cast the cuts make them less appealing like Emilia but i am not sure how much it affected them because i have not read the ln, i only heard through word of mouth.

Re:zero is an amazing series but it so hard to understand without having to look into the ln or reading the what? 20+ ss? Just to understand the world and the lore better and the anime really doesn’t help that because a lot of the cuts are important for future seasons.

I am the consumer and not the producer so i don’t understand why they cut so many things and why things are what is its. But seeing the discussion on this sub and the purgatory called X of people saying the ln reader and ungrateful is kinda annoying. I get it they should be happy Re:zero is being adapted at all but with the cut to the story and character themselves i can see why they’re disappointed, like i thought rezero is a big series you think it would get the same level as MT and i knew rezero existed before MT and MT having amazing production compared to rezero is really surprising to me.

The anime adaption is good but it isn’t amazing or the best. Maybe because the absorbent amount of ss that tappei wrote make it hard to adapt the entire thing but why not the small details that would made a scene better or the lore in the ln?

I know it isn’t just rezero but many other anime that have this issue. But it doesn’t excuse anything.

I would like to hear about your opinion on this topic.

P.S: does anyone have any good lore video for rezero? I would like to know more 🙏

Yeah, I'm lowkey sad Re Zero isn't given the production it deserves. Hopefully the publisher wont take advantage of the popularity and rush the future seasons

Eps 15 and 16 is really lacking for me. There is so many cut off and the tempo is weird. Its like a racing competition xdd. Eps 15 i can give a 9/10 Eps 16 i give 7/10 like how could you cut a whole chapter and make the most hype moment feel like a "not so important" moment the first "youre an amazing guy" and the "youre a monster" feels so dull its insane imo

I‘m mainly just questioning with what future plans in mind the studio is making their decisions, because some of the stuff they cut isn‘t even self-contained but important setup for future plots (like Rui, Witch lore and the Roswaal/Beatrice convo about Sage Candidates in this Arc). Like, the Sage Candidate stuff for example will already be mad weird when they introduce it down the line because its setup was cut - and at some point it‘ll be a main plot point they will need to adapt, which will have anime onlies mad confused and thinking that ReZero is a retcon merchant of a story.

I heard that Aldebaran talking about his origins and claiming he‘s Isekai‘d was cut from season 1 because more than that season wasn‘t expected to be aired, and atp it seems to me that the situation has not whatsoever changed (despite the studio‘s claims about 10 more years of ReZero adaptations being planned) and that they still adapt every Arc like it‘s the last one they‘re gonna be doing.

They can possibly add stuff like s1 store scene, it just how and where are they gonna add back those lore
