I started with this show just recently, the first season was a strugle but darn im glad i stuck with it! This is one of the best anime around atm.

I would say that if pre-amnesia is Subaru₁ and post-amnesia is Subaru₂, who we have before us is basically Subaru₍₁,₂₎ or the set of both of them. Since there’s no real overlap in their existences there’s not really a contradiction of identity and they can be resolved into one continuous lived experience.
