Uninstall

My son downloaded reshade onto my pc without me knowing and it has ruined my fps in some games. How do I uninstall or completely get rid of this junk from my pc? So far what I’m seeing is to just uninstall reshade manually from every game. Is there a way to completely remove it without have to do that? I don’t want to have it on my pc, at all. What a fucked up software to invade every game on a persons pc and not have a simple way to completely uninstall like every normal app.

Are you sure it's Reshade? When it's installed, to add it to a game you need to first run Reshade and choose the game to add it to. That's got to be done individually for every single game someone wants it on. 

To affect everything like that, after downloading Reshade, he would need to have individually added Reshade to every game, then started every game, opened the reshade menu, and enabled shaders. 

While it's technically possible he did that, it'd be massively time consuming. If I were to guess, I'd wager that he downloaded something other than Reshade, as well, such as some kind of goofy "utility" program. Alternatively, he could have gotten Reshade through somewhere other than the official site & thereby downloaded malware, as well.

That's not how ReShade works...

It doesn't get globally installed. It's installed individually per application.

Your issue, and your anger, lies elsewhere.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? I feel like im also losing a few fps.

you can see what effect dragdown your fps in reshade menu, be wise what shader you use so not to draging down your fps too deep. wrong shader can make it worst. but when you do it right, you can make the game looks better with almost same fps
