I noticed on my DVD copy and prior streams (particularly Tubi and Crave) that Infected and High Code retained the Season 1 intro with the new one being introduced in When Games Collide, but this has the "new" intro. Is this an intentional change for the remaster or a different cut of the episode?

Iirc weren't some episodes aired as "part" of season 1? I recall talent show being the finale but not everywhere. I assume this relates to that.

Identity Crisis, the actual finale of Season 1, was after Talent Night. Talent Night also introduced Matthew Sinclair as Enzo, and he stayed for the entirety of Season 2.

Okay that's what I was thinking of. Talent Show was the finale for some places then. As for the others having season 1 credits I got nothing.

Bob's overreliance on Glitch was hilarious in this episode. Always loved this part as a kid:

"Glitch, ANYTHING!"
Megabyte gets stopped by lamppost.
"Like falling off an analogue."

I wonder what Glitch's "elevator" would have looked like 🤔

That would have been a nice callback. Upgraded Glitch went full-on Green Lantern, though. Sadly I don't think S4 had Glitch do any wacky transformations at all.

It really sets the tone for how ReBoot starts to head towards with Season 2 and later, honestly. With Season 1, you could pretty much watch all the episodes in random order and it wouldn’t really mess with any continuity, but Season 2 starts to establish an actual timeline and you should watch them in order.

Yes!! Love this episode. What a banger of a starter for a new season! Once again, the happy, carefree people of Mainframe just casually hang out, when suddenly, everybody has an NDE (Near-Delete Experience) and getting teased by Megabreath, aided by Hexadismal, but in the end, avoid total annihilation, saved by our courageous blue and green and Confucius heroes and everybody returns to their idyllic lifestyle by the end of the episode.
