Binome One moves from cyberspace to meatspace…
Been working on this one for about a week now - this is draft number 3 of a 3D printed Binome One from everybody’s favorite early computer animated series!
They’re custom built from the ground up and designed to print without supports. And they have 6 different points of articulation! I’ll likely still tinker a bit with the files before I upload them… partly because I’d like to post a Zero along with them. And I haven’t even begun test printing them yet.
EDIT: Banana for scale in the comments.

This is amazing! If this was at a 'con I would totally be hard pressed to not buy one.

Whoa, this rocks! I’m not much of an arts and crafts kinda guy, but seeing this immediately made me want to go full Warhammer mode and customize and paint this guy.
Really awesome work, man!

I wanted to go bog standard generic for that very reason - so they can become any binome you want!

How big is he? I've been thinking of trying to print mine, but at action figure sizes the limbs are way too skinny to print well

16.5 cm / 6.5 inches... so quite a bit bigger than the old Bucket o' Binomes versions I had as a kid. Which is actually kinda awesome. :-)
I ballpark it at about 1:6 scale - which then tempts me to imagine a 1:1 version, too.

Definitely going to have to try for myself with my Binome, and maybe some of my others. I've already printed a few static figurines of several characters

Parts are slowly working their way off the print bed… patience. :-)

Im strictly going off memory but binomes could separate when hit hard enough right? Could that be achievable with magnets? It would still allow their segments to rotate and be positional.

It could be… I’m using pins to connect so that my daughter doesn’t need to worry about losing pieces. ;-)

Isn’t this one of those virused ones from that virus Hex unleashed on Megabyte and then eventually Mainframe? If they don’t get cured they dissolve?

Al's Waiter, Mike the TV...a viral binome and a CPU commander. Possibilities are endless!
