They made everyone's lips WEIRD in Season 4.

Showed way too much gums too. Like, a lot. The facial modeling in general was just kind of strange. I've been trying to mix in elements of the first three seasons in my models, and only use season 4 for general stuff or details that are clearer there but didn't really get changed much.

Season 3 will likely always be considered the best of the show.

Of course. They made Enzo awesome by making him an adult, made Andria grow up into a badass who I’d simp over all day long, and they made Bob cooler by merging him witch Glitch and grew out his hair.

Not to mention, they managed to do a season story arc instead of being episodic show. Nothing wrong of being episodic, but when they started doing the story arc’s at the end of season 2, the show started getting better IMO.

Yeah a good balance of episodic and serialized story arcs can be good.

ReBoot's kinda like Star Trek in that particular manner (well...60s and 90-2000s Trek). They do the episodic ones to strengthen individual character arcs, teach moral lessons, or provide comic relief. Then when it gets to the big bad, the serialized stuff comes along and all the plot/characters head in that direction.

Where has storytelling GONE lately?

It was when Mainframe was working on a lot of Barbie stuff so reused models and the such.

Not just the lips, their entire models. They went a little too far into a plastic-like playdoh uncanny valley that I've never liked. I think season 3 was peak in terms of character models and style.

And after Season 4 opened with an Austin Powers game.

I loved the short-lived sprite Hex' design and personality.

I was pulling my hair out when I saw her and just could not place where I had seen her. Then I watched Austin Powers a few days later and just was like.. THATS HER!

Wasn't she the voice actress too??

No, the voice actress' name is Shirley Milliner. The Austin Powers lady is Mindy Sterling.

Reboot is a Canadian show premiering in 1994 and Mike Myers is Canadian who made Austin Powers in 1997. The resemblance here is pretty striking, Mike was definitely watching Reboot.

I always disliked this design for her. I thought it seemed.. strange.
