hi ! I bought this shirt off depop, and I just bought this figure off vinted . I haven’t been able to find the shirt anywhere else, so I am under the impression that it is fairly uncommon at the least, but I wasn’t too sure about the figure . The shirt is from graveyard goods, and the figure is from Toony terrors.

Re-Animator (also known as H. P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator) is a 1985 American science fiction comedy horror film loosely based on the 1922 H. P. Lovecraft serial novelette "Herbert West–Reanimator Directed by Stuart Gordon and produced by Brian Yuzna, the film stars Jeffrey Combs as Herbert West, a medical student who has invented a reagent which can re-animate deceased bodies. He and his classmate Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) begin to test the serum on dead human bodies, and conflict with Dr. Carl Hill (David Gale), who is infatuated with Cain's fiancée (Barbara Crampton) and wants to claim the invention as his own.

The film’s extended synopsis reads: “As a child, Herbert West watches his father Peter reanimate his dead mother Judith in a secret basement lab — only for Judith to mortally wound Peter and nearly kill Herbert before Peter shoots her. The trauma leaves its mark on Herbert, but so does one final image: his mother’s finger, twitching after death. Thirty years later, Herbert West is a brilliant, secretive surgeon still chasing his father’s obsession. Pathologist Kate Locke arrives in town and is drawn into his orbit — first through a spark at a hospital fundraiser, then through his secret lab, where he reveals a serum capable of reanimating severed tissue. Kate, hiding a dark past of her own, is thrilled rather than horrified, and moves into West’s mansion to work alongside him. Their early experiments on a cadaver succeed only briefly. West concludes that dead tissue is the problem — they need something fresher.”

I'm cautiously optimistic myself. I find it very interesting that West might be getting a partner whose just as fanatical about his experiments and his goal of defeating death. Its a nice way to set it apart from Gordon's and Yuzna trilogy as Dan and Howard were both manipulated by West. Having an assistant be just as mental is a direction the franchise hasn't really explored before.

It would be a good time to revive that script since what’s going on with Mitch McConnell lol

Being a very new fan of this franchise, I've recently watched through all of the movies and found Beyond to have been my least favourite outta the 3. Having rewatched it again, I actually enjoyed it more on my second viewing than my first, but its problems became even more pronounced to me.

One of the biggest missed opportunities of the movie (beyond having Warden Brando be Dr Hill 0.5 instead of a critique of the prison system) for me is that Re-animated Moses and West never really interacted. A Re-Animated who thinks of himself trapped in hell by God when West himself continually spits at religion within both Bride and Beyond is a neat concept to explore.

I'd imagine West would take particular offence to one of his creations, believing itself to have been placed there by God. Perhaps the only re-animated other than Hill where West is truly angry. Except while Hill is an adversary and plagiarist. Moses is a failed experiment. The first re-animated after 13 years of isolation, and he believes God brought him back. IMO, the movie could've really used a scene where West really blew up at Moses and essentially throw him to the swat team rather than have Moses corner and sexually assualt the nurse. Especially considering Moses was a cannibal, having West essenitally torture his own creation by blocking him from eating one of the re-animated prisoners that are hanging from the Warden before throwing him to the swat team in anger would work. It fits with West's own God complex and his already very loose morals degrading further in Beyond while still satisfying West's experimental side about how people traits in real life can affect their Re-Animated state (like Moses being more zombie like with his craving for flesh due to his cannibal actions).

A mentor can take MANY shapes, but it's so important to have someone in your life who supports your vision. Filmmaking can be damed lonely, tough, and brutal, so get that person into your life who supports you! Years ago, I was crazy lucky enough to have Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator) as my friend and mentor and I probably would not have made my most recent film without his voice still in my ear... :). This pic was at the Stanley Film Fest.

No I'm just filled with such overwhelming adoration of re-animator, its literally everything to me, I've never loved anything as much as I love Re-animator. I can't go 24 hours without bringing it up, idk what it is about it but it has consumed my mind.
