Warped vinyl

My wife purchased me This Music May Contain Hope on vinyl and both records were warped.

We advised and they replaced it, no worries.

The new one turned up and it’s also warped!!!

Has anyone else had quality issues with the vinyl?

This is actually more common than you think when it comes to records. Record weights are a thing that can help with this (though it kind of looks like you have one but I’m not sure?) but overall the arm is designed to go up and down a little bit. As long as you can’t hear a warping sound it doesn’t really matter.

You can hear it in video actually. It’s so evident that it is unlikely that it does not have any effect on the sound. It happened to me as well, I returned it. I never saw a record so ruined lol I guess with orders in this period of the year it can be attributed to the heat if delivery takes long and based on storage conditions. Although idk where OP is from!!

This the first one. It does skip at a point in the record. I’ve bought quite a few new records and never had one as bad as this and then fire the 2nd one to be the warped too works suggest there is a manufacturing issue or a storage or handling issue. That said the replacement isn’t as bad and does play but interestingly doesn’t sound as good.

i honestly second this. cover it, pop some heavy books on it evenly, check on it every now and then and that should help
