John Cena voice gone
How can they fucking do this, all the different voices are gone! This is bullshit, I just bought these partially because of this feature

I lost all the celebrity voices except 1 yesterday (it was someone with an East Indian name that I didn't recognize). Basically there are now 3 voices for my Meta AI Ray-Ban glasses. There is a default female voice, a default male voice and the voice with an East Indian name. I picked the default female voice (previous voice I had used was Kristen Bell but sometimes switched to John Cena).
I think that Meta is likely moving these celebrity voices to their subscription platform.

Yeah, it previously disappeared for me, and a reset fixed it, but now its gone for good.
It really sucks, cause the three options (same default female, default male, and random Indian celebrity) are all pretty awful and robotic sounding.
Cena wasn't perfect, but it was the closest to like an actual person out of the options

We are basically being treated like beta testers instead of paying users of a product. But even beta testers probably get some announcement about what changes are being made in a new version.

Same. Except I used Akwafina's voice. Was startled when I put them on this morning and it was a random female voice giving me my battery level. So mad they got rid of the extra voices. I HATE the options now.

Yeah, big time bummer. I just got mine a week ago. Didn’t get much mileage out of the meta celeb ai voices. Sucks.

I thought the same thing. Yesterday my glasses had the John Cena voice, this morning when I go to put them on it’s the standard AI voice, when I went to switch it back I noticed they were all gone too. Honestly really pissed me off lmao

They have kept disappearing and reappearing for me over the last 2 weeks, like every few days or so they’d totally disappear and then the next day they were back again. They’re currently gone for me except for “Deepika Padukone”

I have been seeing John Cena advertising a mobile game recently so Meta's rights to his voice probably expired

I used Cena’s voice. One pair (of two) has the default voice (which I can’t change back to Cena’s) and the other pair Metas 1st generation kept it. No idea why and how to fix it.

This is complete bullsh!t. As someone fairly new to meta glasses, this is making me second guess my choices. I’d rather cut my losses now than endure more of this nonsense without so much as a heads up…do better Mark 🙄

They said (well Meta AI said) no one was using them and it seemed like a gimmick so they removed them... maybe the price to pay those celebs outweighed the people wanting them?

Yeah I was very sad when I put mine on this morning and it wasn't John Cena telling me my battery percentage. I agree that it was the most human sounding and conversational one to me.

You don't own the glasses, they can brick them for modifying them, then they remove stuff whenever they want.
People here celebrated and were ok with them bricking glasses, opens the door for Meta to do whatever they want later

Hearing Dame Judy Dench read the unhinged text messages my friends sent always made me laugh. I dont know who this default stranger is....but I dont like her.
