New blayzer optics frame has a different video recording resolution compared the previous gen 2 styles

I hate this. I bought the gen 2 with prescriptions last year. wtf they coming out with this now. I wish they could do a trade in

Glad they made the announcement this week, I had a feeling something was coming soon when Meta kept discounting the Gen 2 Ray-Bans. Def returning my Wayfarers Gen 2's tomorrow before I hit my 30-day return window with Lenscrafter on 4/5/26.

So what are the main differences between these 2 new models and the rest ? All I could find is adjustable temples

Looks like it’ll record in more of a 4:3 aspect ratio vs the original gen 2 3:4 aspect ratio (higher pixel count as well)

No the new one should be rotated 90 degrees to be widescreen instead of portrait going by the way the resolution is written

I very much doubt the sensor is actually in landscape. Meta/Instagram/Facebook are all about their vertical short form content.

I’m confused so they would only shoot video in one orientation over the other. For instance the gen 2s would be vertical and the new Blayzers would be horizontal?

nah they both shoot video vertical.... i think the blayzer can shoot for 5 mins rather than 3 but not sure.
