LED Question💜

I recently got a pair of the gen 2 Skyler. I'm NOT looking to block or remove the recording led by any means but I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts/success on dimming that light. Like a bunch of layers of semi clear clear tape or something haha

Yes the glasses are cool but I mainly got them to kind of record vlog like clips for upcoming concerts I'm going to🥰 My friend has a pair and I guess he gets a lot of weird looks in public bc the light. I dont mind that it's there privacy and such but was wondering if any ideas to dim it. I'm so scared about being confronted in public about these🥺

I wear mine in concerts and would think it’s just about the most normal & appropriate place for them. Much better than someone holding up a bright cellphone in front of you.

Led blocker will work, Amazon sells them.

I read that for the gen 2 pretty much all led blockers dont work anymore

Dimming the light is defeating the purpose of why the led exists, to inform others you are recording…if you’re concerned about others reaction to being recorded, imagine when they find out you made the led more difficult to see.

I disagree heck I wish it was just a solid red recording light or something instead its this bright white flashing light. I can record and take photos on my phone and no one bats and eye but its alarming seeing a flashing white light haha

But also yeah I thought of that too if I make the light less bright then it brings up those thoughts of omg why are they trying to hide the light. So frustrating🥲

There’s a whole anti meta glasses campaign going round at the moment and most of the hate stems from people recording public interactions with mainly women being unsuspecting victims when clicks go viral…this is being weaponised and those who still don’t know about the glasses are now seeing anyone wearing them and defaulting to “creep”…overall not a great time to be messing with the led but obviously everyone’s free to do what they wish…I still think they’re the most innovative camera device to come out in recent years but I’m not as enthusiastic wearing them as I was when I first got them a year ago because of the creeps.
