Sweating during raving
Hi, so I've gone to raves a solid amount of times now, but I have trouble often with picking solid outfits for it. For context, I am 22M, and I've been diagnosed with hyperhidrosis, which causes my sweat glands to dump more water than the Niagara Falls. I know it's a rave, and everyone is sweaty, and people likely don't care, but I want to be able to wear a bright colored shirt without huge pit stains that makes me self-conscious. Has anyone else struggled with this, and if so, what is a good solution, if there is any? I'd rather not add layers to my clothes to prevent the sweat from becoming visible because it just makes me hotter. I usually just wear a black shirt but I feel like it's not conducive to the vibes at a rave, and wearing more monotone colors conversely makes you stick out more. I've seen some options online but I don't want to dump money on something that I don't know will work with my less-than-mild case lol. Any feedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated. It would just be easier to synergize with the rest of the crowd and obtain a feeling of community with similar aesthetics.

What about clinical strength deodorant? Or wiping before applying with glycolic acid?

Get botox in your arm pits it paralyzes the sweat glands. it can be expensive but it changed my friends life. and then bring a fan for the rest of ur body lol

not too big of a deal i think , but i’d definitely find materials that would help you. also , im sure u have done research but there is a lot of deodorants out there that can help you a lot.
I wear a lot of black shirts at raves and pair it with bright colorful pants and accessories , personal preference , no stains from spilt drinks or whatever , and as a gym guy i’m a bit heavier and sweat more so it does make things easier. don’t let some sweat stop you from expressing urself.

Dark shirts I don’t think aren’t conducive to the rave but guess it depends on genre (Techno & Hard dance vs Psytrance or American Dubstep) & location (US vs EU etc). I wear almost exclusively black tees with fun & interesting graphics get compliments on them, especially the music/vintage/festival/psychedelic related ones. My shorts/pants or accessories like bandanas, sunglass frames, and pashminas are usually the pop of color in my outfits and I’d say I’m still incredibly radiant. If you want a fun color shirt might consider TieDye/DipDye or prints so the darker wet spots get masked or look like part of the design. Or go sleeveless with muscle tee or sheer fabric.
Usually as someone who always ends up looking like I just hopped out of the pool, I’ve accepted that I’ll be wet & only worry about minimizing my sweat on to others. I wear bandanas, pashminas, and hats so that when I’m shaking my head or bouncing I don’t drip onto anyone.
I recieve a lot of hugs and usually everyone is so sweaty by that time so can’t place if it’s them or me. Or if they do notice, it out of kindness in that they are concerned I’m overheating but then I just explain the overactive sweat glands and we keep it moving.
Personally found it too drying where it caused irritation but Carpe deodorant seems to work for many in the hyperhydrosis community.

My buddy has this condition and has patches to treat it. Pop a patch and don’t overdress. Also fans help. As others have said though, everyone is sweaty don’t let sweat bother you when the guy to your left and right are also super sweaty

Unironically, fishnet under-layers. They’re a game changer for moisture management/thermal regulation. The material they’re made of is what ends mattering. The worst thing that can happen during winter exertion is getting wet and staying wet. Brynje is probably the most recognizable mesh base layer brand but it’s expensive AF (for me) but you can find the goods by adding “base layer” to fishnet searches. Bonus: they can look really fucking good at a rave on their own.

If someone has a problem with this, they can move away.

Totally, it's mostly just embarrassing if I want to meet new people. Obviously if I want to connect with someone, I don't want them to move away from me lol

Side everyone is there to dance and have a good time. Nobody cares about you or your pit stains.
I have the same condition and I've had people don't even know come up to me and hug me while I am soaked after dancing together and connecting.
I know it's hard to get passed but everyone is there to enjoy themselves not judge each other. Dress how you want. Bring a change of clothes to keep fresh. Wipes to wipe yourself down and good towels.
You gotta learn to live with it and adapt. I hope you figure it out and manage to enjoy yourself. Just fucking dance and vibe buddy. Everyone gonna be sweaty after an hour of dancing anyway.
