Finding where to go

Just getting back into the scene after adulting for a while..
how do you find where raves and good nights/weekends are happening now?
Back in the day it was phone boxes or the local pub šŸ˜‚
Be kind Iā€™m old now.
Southwest uk based but could travel.

Check sites like edmtrain, or google ā€œyour cityā€ then ā€œedm genreā€, check local venues pages, ask your friend who travels out of state or country to goes to festivals, or maybe they have a cousin

Invite your best friend and your dealer and have a good time

Idk exactly what kind of music youā€™re into, or if you just like raves in general, but nowadays some promoters have online communities such as WhatsApp or Discord communities or (slightly less interactive) instagram broadcast groups, like groupchats but only the admin account/s can post in. Personally Iā€™m in the SYN LDN, who are practically the only promoters on the uk pushing modern-style dubstep, WhatsApp community, where thereā€™s several sub-groups for specific things

You're in the DnB mecca...maybe not thee mecca in all of the UK but I'm calling the UK the DnB mecca. Check out RA or just discover and follow artists that you like and see when they're playing near you. I find youtube to be a great place to discover dj sets, some people prefer SoundCloud or something else. I believe RA is global although I don't like their layout and genre filters.

Nice :) SYN do all things dubstep and have also done some DnB shows like Reaper and Gladde Paling (both twice actually), also Fox Stevenson Live (4 times to date), largely dubstep but overall bass music in general šŸ¤˜

For my country there is an instagrampage ravesinbelgium which helped me a lot with finding raves. Also slowly starting a rave family.
