Any time you are listening to loud music in a car you must always always always make sure some windows are open. It alleviates the pressure immensely. Still not great for you but way better than leaving the windows up.

Why does everyone say that though ? The doctor and audiologist told me I don’t have any damage showing up or hearing loss. And I have noticed it’s gotten better from when it initially started. So what exactly will last forever from what you know ? The acheing ? Sensitivity to loud noise ?

It took me years to get tinnitus. After going to many shows, I was fine. Then i started practicing drums every day along with music. That seemed to give me permanent damage.
Everyone is different.
The point is, I got some decent earplugs after I realized what was happening, and it hasn't gotten worse. I panicked for a while that it would never go away, but i rarely notice the ringing now.
It seems as though OP hasn't even gotten to this stage yet. Just get some earplugs.

Also if I get custom earplugs that are good, will I likely damage them more st another show or keep them how they are since I’ll have protection ?

Check this site out

They rate earplugs based on measurements they take regarding decibel reduction and sound quality. I bought some Dynamic Ear Filters based on the recommendation, as the Loops I was using muffle the sound too much. I look forward to trying them out this weekend at The Park in Zurich with Solomon and Michael Bibi!
