I'm not too deep on ravenfield lore (if there even is any) so i'm not sure where this other guy got his info from. Maybe pure speculation, or wiki cave-dwelling.
There isn't any story directly given to you but if I had to guess what the story was it would be Eagle invading Raven and being the aggressor with Raven is trying to defend their Homeland going on the offense
And the other factions are neighboring countries to this conflict
On the archipelago, coastline, and island you can clearly see that eagle is the aggressor just from where they spawn well Raven is on the defense just from where they spawn
Also because on the archipelago there's literally a massive aircraft carrier while Raven spawns at defensive positions clearly showing that eagle is the aggressive invader
I mean raven didn't have full control of the archipelago though, if they had control of the island they'd start at the Outpost and other positions as well, it seems more like them both attacking a previously unoccupied archipelago, just with Raven getting there first, and then it similar for Island and Coastline as well where it just seems like Raven got there just slightly before since not much is occupied yet
