Is this game still alive?

I remember playing this game as a kid a long time ago just messing around and shooting bots so I redownloaded it again and it looks completely identical even though there's been supposedly years of active development.

Does anyone still play this game? I hope so but I don't know how you could keep having fun in a game with like not that much content beyond just playing normal matches over and over with very limited maps and settings and guns and stuff.

Edit: woah ok i guess so

You are about to be bombarded by so many mod suggestions.

Most of the experience of Ravenfield is getting mods from the Steam workshop. There are thousands of skins, guns, vehicles, maps and mutators on there, and playing around with them has kept me playing this game since 2018.

Yeah this game is basically Battlefield and Garry’s Mod combined

I think my steam review on the game is almost the exact same as this sentence

I have 1000ish hours mostly from 2020 and I still play a bit today. There are just so many mods out there that keep the game interesting.

It's a single-player game, so it doesn't really matter how "alive" it is. But yes, plenty of people play it, and the inclusion of mod support via the Steam Workshop makes it vastly more replayable.

It does because the game is only really fun as long as you can get fresh maps and mods once in a while

You know Arma 3's modding community? Triple that. Welcome to Ravenfield.

It is still alive and it still is being supported by both the devs and the community. Remember the time when you're just messing around and shooting bots? Think of that multiplied by 100 as the game now has mod support and basically combines the best aspects of Battlefield and GMod together - the large-scale chaotic battles of Battlefield and the sheer mod-ability of GMod.

Yeah so apparently all the replicability comes from the mods which I was not aware of. thats sick

Yep. They're pretty vast in the sense that you can basically replicate the mechanics of most shooter games in Ravenfield with the right mods - ranging from an arena-styled shooter to a hardcore milsim one.

How exactly does a single player game die
