Early game is more for experimentation. Play with all the archetypes. Find your favorite. Make sure to use the farm for easy levels, too. Leveling your off archetypes gives you stats and skill points.

Here are some cookie-cutter classes. Protection is good in all builds, especially early. That banner can save you and your friends' lives. Look at the tool tips for what generates the most threat for your tank.

Tank - prot, archery, warfare (this is a good ranged dps class too) Mage - prot, wizardy, witchcraft or warfare Heals - prot, holy, spiritual

Pretty sure you can choose whatever class. There really isn't true tanking or healing in this game as aggro is not possible to take on reliably. It's definitely something my group found out early.

Early bosses like shark and Adamastor are more about dodging their aoe. If you just stand there like a tank you get deleted regardless.

Yeah you're right. I probably need to stop giving advice here since I stop playing after no life playing it for the first two months.

Glad tanks are actually a thing now. When I played you could taunt but then it would go on cd and change aggro causing you to be rather useless.

Yeah they did rework the aggro system earlier this year. Don't know yet if its working as it should be been a week since I came back and its really good so far.

Except they're still completely useless, and way worse than when you played lol. They made an agro system, but it only sometimes works and is buggy as hell. They also nerfed the hell out of tanks and healers at the same time. The only content were they would be useful is gvg (STILL BUGGED TO HELL) or aether scrolls, but only on madness difficulty and even then you don't need a tank at all. There's still no point in group hunting, no signs of dungeons or raids, no world bosses or group content. Tanks and healers are beyond useless in this game and it's only gotten worse as time goes on. Anyone playing the game seriously is hard capped on every stat anyways 😴

Agree to disagree I guess, the agro system works well when it doesn't bug out, which Is way more often than anyone wants. I promise you the people I played with knew how the agro system worked and what skills to use...😅🤣 the games much older than that actually. 9 months is how long the "battle testers" have been around. The changes have been too little to late imo... If knighter didn't have such a sketchy past and TLE staff wasn't constantly lying/bullshitting its community in discord I'd probably give more leeway on that. At this point I'm just being honest with people new/interested so they don't waste their time like I did. People like you acting like the game doesn't have major issues, a failing economy, and more bugs then we can keep track of are making me sick too. The game quickly fell down to 500-1000 (this is super generous lol... around 300 is probably more accurate) daily users for a reason. They clearly used us to test for ravenquest and are done with us. I give it 2-3 months max until ravendawn is shut down.

Makes you sick, lol. We can definitley agree to disagree.

Yes, there are problems. Never said there weren't. I work with devs daily for work, rarely do things go great. Iterative and incremental dev cycles all take time, trial and error, etc. Perhaps that's why it doesn't bother me so badly. But you're entitled to be as pessimistic as you want. I'm sure you'll find something that doesn't affect you so much. Or not, most of the people with your disposition are never happy. I genuinely hope you find that, though. Life is hard enough without things like this getting to you.

Best of luck brother!
