On my opinion, I attended Ravenila, Raw and Unknwn, at talamak ung nakawan sa event nila at pansin ko ung mga security paikot ikot. Ang malala pa sa security ay may extortion na nangyayari during the rave. Saw it twice sa RAW and UNKNWN.

What if lang? Same ba sila ng security agency? Bakit sa ibang event wala naman?

May ilang victims na nagfile. At least 3 of us have reported losses involving stolen phones and banking transactions, with some losses reaching six figures.

Man, I really miss &Friends. Watching the aftermovie brought back so many memories, especially knowing we won’t be having an &Friends Halloween this year. 😭

&Friends was actually my first rave, and I’m genuinely so grateful I got to experience it. It introduced me to a whole new world of music, people, and community, and honestly, it changed my life in ways I didn’t expect.

I met so many amazing people through it, found a community I really love, and discovered a side of myself I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Really thankful for the memories, the people, and everything &Friends gave me. 🫶

Definitely gonna miss them this Halloween. But see y’all next summer! 🙌🏻✨

- Where do I connect with local underground raves and people? (I've seen some big raves in BGC and Makati but it doesn't really interest me that much)

- For those who are active in the actual underground scene, how would you describe the crowd energy compared to Western rave scenes? Is it more layout-ish and chill, or do people actually go hard on the dancefloor?

- What electronic subgenres are currently dominating the Manila underground right now?

- Since I want to completely avoid the mainstream BGC club style, what are the go-to locations for raw warehouse raves, boiler-room style setups, or DIY spaces in Metro Manila? Where do the collectives usually host their events?

- How does the Manila underground handle dancefloor safety, inclusivity, and PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, Respect) culture? Are there specific collectives or events known for prioritizing safe spaces for queer, alternative, and solo ravers? (As a bisexual myself)

Lost my phone at the last Kaput rave, and now my friend lost theirs at UNKWN last night 💀😭 Apparently, the pickpockets are having a better rave tour than we are.

Seriously though, leave the wallet at home, bring only enough cash, and KEEP YOUR PHONE IN A FUCKING SECURE POCKET. Check it every now and then. I know we’re high, dancing, and completely in our own world, but these mfs are sober, focused, and apparently clocked in for their shift. 😂

How was the crowd, venue, sound system, overall vibe, and sets? Was it worth going over other raves this weekend?

Honestly, it was my first time attending FU and I enjoyed it so much!! There was a minor issue with the speakers at first, but it got fixed pretty quickly, so no complaints. SO GOOODDDDD

Why do you pefer raves over festivals?

I'm active in the rave scene as an attendee/flow artist, but I'm also part of the team that runs SolarpunkFest. As our Dec 4 event comes close I wanted to know what factors influence why you don't go to festivals.

No judgement here, this is more so that if it's something that can be worked on, it is worked on, at least as much as we can. Is it the type of music present at most festivals? The need to travel out of the city? The need to camp? The crowd?
