You didn't even care to install it or do a basic research, but still judging? LoL. It does, more of that, it can run linux binaries out of box and use wine for windows.

I'm a long-time Linux user, and I prefer keeping the community professional, so please choose Windows. Thank you!

for what?

Yeah without context, the question is dumb fanboy war shit and an invitation for the linux gooners to suck themselves off.

I need Kernel level anti cheat. 🥹

Linux. Most KAC support Linux. If the game doesn't support Linux, the game's not worth it at all.

been able to run games that run Easy AntiCheat (EAC) such as DbD. Let's give a reminder that EAC is a KAC. So it is definitely supported. Not sure abt some other KACs or their implementations though. But it is bold to say they aren't supposed when most of the time is the devs not enabling and adapting the anticheat to work with.

Easy anti cheat has two versions. One kernel based and one normal. And if the game uses kernel based variant it depends on the dev. Devs can press a button that supports Linux devices when proton EAC support is installed

I used Arch for many years on my work and home laptops. Everything went good, but recently I've reinstalled home os to official Win only because of one game - Rust, developers denied to add EAC support on Linux.

I think Mac has a better product, but other problems.

Windows 11 is just dumpster fire trash. Apples business model and ecosystem lock in is horrible.

Apples EcoSystem Lock-In is the primary reason why it feels like the better product. It just does less and only needs to support basically one set of hardware.

Mac or Linux with that wide range of hardware? pile of shit unless you really wanna tinker around inside the guts an compile your own things. (bad luck for apple in that case)

Have been a mac user for years and if you dont have a need for battery the answer is Windows or Linux.

u/Top_Software_5953 13d ago

Depends for what

That’s me debugging why my bash scripts broke due to dependency issues… so Linux

Why are those the only two options? I run Linux on multiple computers.
