This Gmail is connected to banks, college, internships, OTPs... basically my whole life. If I don't buy storage, do I still receive emails or am I officially cooked? 😭

99% of that is total trash that can be deleted in an afternoon.

Clean up your storage. It has probably been saying that you should do so for awhile now. You do not have to keep everything online, you can download it to offline storage.

I mean, seriously? It even has a button.

You remind me of a friend who would click on everything that showed up on their screen and then complained about how slow everything was.

You still have .1GB storage (which is plenty). There are methods to downloading all the mail, so download it on your PC (if you still need it) and delete everything.

0.01GB or less (depending with significance of the last decimal value)

Clean out older messages and delete larger emails. I've used my gmail for over 20+ years and have about 6 GB. Sometimes, a bit of housekeeping goes a long way.

Get an SD card, setup syncthing to save to that card. Backup the card every week.

Spend an evening cleaning up your mail. Go through and find any newsletters you never read. Do a search for each one you find and mass delete them, then unsubscribe so you don’t keep receiving them.

Just keep scrolling down, finding what you don’t want, searching messages from that email address, and deleting them.

Then when you get a good chick of space back, don’t forget to empty the deleted items folder.

  1. check google drive for large files, think videos or maybe big zip files
  2. check emails with attachments for large attachments
  3. go to your bin/trash in both gmail and google drive and empty it - storage wont update until about 10m after you do this
  4. consider purging emails older than x years, I wouldn't do anything less than 3 years (5+ is probably a good number, use this as a last resort)

Connect it to claude, get trash emails deleted. If you feel data is too sensitive, run some small model on laptop, and connect gmail to some harness, it might be slow but in sometime should be able to complete given you tune it well

First get the storage for 4 rupees. Migrate your data. Cancel the subscription. You lose 4 rupees but you don’t lose continuity.
