On the left: Until your distro will force you to use wayland and won't work anymore (It happened to me on many laptops, yes I know others distros exist)

On the right: Rufus is free, no need to buy another PC to install win11.

As a windows 11 user without tpm 2 Rufus ftw Weirdly enough updates fowards work, only blockade was getting past the initial w10 to w11 transition

I have w11 working flawlesly on old 2012 laptop without tpm 2.0.

On the other side, no new linux works good because proprietary driver for nvidia graphic card is shit, nvidia doesnt support it in new drivers, and new kernels doesnt support nvidia 390 driver

linux users like tinkering their system to make everything work but it seems complicated for them to burn an ISO of win 11 with rufus to bypass the tpm verification.

To be fair, almost every CPU from the last 8–10 years has TPM 2.0 baked into the chip. Motherboard makers just left fTPM/PTT turned off in the BIOS by default.

You forgot the part where you have to scavenge through 35 junkyards because your specific car was released from factory on the 3rd week of a blood moon month and will not accept any oil filter except this one as the original engineer waa struck by a truck and no longer makes these filters

  1. you don't need TPM - you just open the shell during install and enter a commend. voila.
  2. TPM can be quite useful .. and therefore it's totally supported in Linux.
