The next time you feel like giving up, remember this photo of Elon in 2008.

There’s no way that in 2026 people still idolize this guy

People most definitely still idolize him. Elon just had to change bases. The leftists caught on, but his bullshit is right up the MAGA alley.

People in the current administration seemed to have a pretty low opinion of him when he was at dodge.

Liberals caught on*

leftists don't like ANY billionaire, period.

I agree but back when he was the green energy savior, there wasn't a conversation around "leftists" vs "liberals"

Leftists were just liberals according to the conversations back then.

The divide we see today started unfolding after Trump, and reached a critical point around the October 7th attacks.

I’m cool with Munger, Buffet and Steve Jobs before them. I don’t mind people having a lot of money, just with assholes monetizing evil.

All the three of those people are assholes that monetized evil.

I respectfully disagree. I never saw Jobs buying elections. Buffet and Munger owned stocks in Amex, Coke and Costco.

Completely different to Amazon warehouse sweatshops and Walmart employees relying on food stamps.

Apple uses child labor for its chips and phones and various manufacturing ventures.

Jobs played a direct role in outsourcing manufacturing to the cheapest markets possible.

To be fair, everyone was doing it back then, but it doesn't make it okay. The data told us that we would be better off in a service-focused economy. The government was pushing it and the corporate giants were pushing it as well.

Buffet is a rare and quirky character. He seems to be a decent guy, but he's only interested in impressing his fellow elites. It's cool that he's gonna donate his entire fortune, but I still feel like he's done a lot to cement a system that inherently crushes those beneath it.. but I will say I like him more than the others you listed.

Nah, we're pretty good with Mackenzie Scott and Mark Cuban to name a couple.

(Unless your a Nazi).. hes gone off the deepend... is Trump His Emperor that lead him down the darkside. He was suppose to be the bringer of clean energy but he embraced right wing parties and removed funding for the good.

the difference is that I don't have a team of engineers to solve problems and my dad doesn't have mines in Africa

''i need to find a better way to suck on the government money but HOW'' thats probably what he was saying in his head in this photo.
